The TP-4160R Titan Pro 16-Channel 1U Rack-Mountable H.264 250 Mb/s 4-Bay NVR from NUUO is a Linux-embedded recording solution that supports H.264 encoding for up to 64 channels with a throughput of up to 250Mb/s.

In addition, the NVR is equipped with command chain technology, which can synchronize user accounts and critical events across 100 servers, 400-channel live view, and 100-channel playback simultaneously. The recorder supports over 2000 camera models from more than 100 brands, and RTSP video streaming.

Thanks to NUUO Image Fusion Technology, you can manipulate camera views by changing viewing angles and image size, making viewing easier in both live view and playback mode. Moreover, you can stitch multiple cameras together to form a unified single view from up to 10 different cameras.

The built-in File Ring recording engine handles high-resolution megapixel recordings by changing the way hard drives store and retrieve video data. It can process a large amount of data throughput, boosting the recording performance of the recorder to 64-channel 5MP cameras (H.264, 15 fps, and moderate traffic).

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I have an old impact T-616 receiver. Will it work with this new model transmitter?

A: No. This is not backward compatible.

Q: 2. Bought the device recently. Playback is OK, but you can not select directories on USB drive. However, when wanted to make a record, could not do it because unable to select proper input as if input button on remote does not work. Can someone help me?

A: If you plug this from the REC OUT of your receiver to the REC IN of the recorder, you must use the receiver to select the playback source to be recorded. Additionally, it is not clear how to actually start the recording, because hitting the REC button once does not start the recording. You must press it twice rapidly.

Q: 3. Will this work for sony a7III ?

A: No, Sony uses a multi interface system for the shoe and remote. Click the link below to view; https://bhpho.to/2ED0aLJ

Q: 4. Does the on camera transmitter have an off switch or does it not consume battery when not in use?

A: No, the following unit does not offer a on/ off switch.

Q: 5. Where can I download a manual for this model?

A: Unfortunately at this time, there is no manual available from the manufacturer.

Q: 6. wont stop ticking noise while recording, what can i do? steve

A: Unfortunately it would be difficult to tell what the issue is with the recorder if any. You may wish to contact a Rep here by phone at 800-606-6969 for assistance. You may also contact the manufacturer directly for technical support.

A: This NVR comes with 8 camera licenses.

Q: 8. can the recorded media be played back on my computer by removing the USB or chip and plugging into the computer?

A: Absolutely.. great piece of equipment... very high quality recording... being used to record church services/sermons... unbelievably low priced!!

Q: 9. I have a set of Photogenic strobes (from the early '90's). Will this work with Photogenic strobe models from that time frame?

A: If your Photogenic strobes use the standard IEC power cable and has either a 1/8 (3.5mm) miniphone sync terminal or 1/4 headphone sync terminal, then yes, the Impact PowerTrigger 16 Channel AC Transmitter and Receiver Set would be compatible for use with your strobe units.

Q: 10. what causes recording on USB to glitch?

A: Glitches while recording to USB might be caused by problems with the USB drive. It may need to be formatted properly before recording. Inconsistent voltage can also cause glitches. Problems with the player or recording device can also cause glitches. Please contact us by phone or through live chat on the website if you would like help to troubleshoot.

[Yes, RAID 0/1/5] I had the opportunity to operate multiple audio mixers. I recommend this mixer because it has the characteristics of a larger console with the ability to transport rack for small events. It has 6 aux sends (outputs 1 - 4 with xlr connectors), phantom power, phase inverter and HPF per channel, EQ like a large GB8 soundcraft mixers. Apart from the L-R has a mono output. Great Sound!

[4] Excellent and inexpensive fix for problem with loud band that can be very over-powering. With the headphone amplifier they can turn themselves up as loud as they want in the headphone without affecting the level of the house, less of a headache for the sound technician.

[DAS, iSCSI] Replaced the NVR that I bought in 2018. Way better picture and features than the older model. Plus, I can hook up 8 more cameras. Paranoia road, here I come!

[4] I had searched the internet for several hours trying to find a simple half rack Bluetooth receiver, to come up with just really this one option. I really enjoy the addition of the 3.5mm aux input and USB power on the front. It works well to charge a phone, but doesn't have the voltage to charge an iPad. B&H has the item as the SM4, but the model that was shipped is the latest model, the SM4U, which includes a USB-C port on the back of the unit for USB audio playback. It has other features, like a mic channel that I probably won't use in my setup, but I could see that being really useful for a different application!

[Embedded Linux] I needed to place a camera around 1000 feet from the NVR. Lorex said that their ePoE technology could do that. I bought the system with 16 nocturnal vari focus 4K ePoE cameras. Lorex sent a N884 NVR instead of the N883 that has 8 ePoE ports. To fix this I was sent a 8 port ePoE switch. With 1000 feet of Cat6 cable, with T568A wired ends... it works perfectly. I'm very happy with my choice. I had a Q-See IP PoE system so I was able to use existing Cat6 wiring for the new cameras. I do notice that night time images are clearer and I can identify wild life at approximently 80 feet away with no supplimental lighting. Still learning to use the lorex cloud app. Still need to tweek some settings and adjust camera posistioning to use the vari-focus lens. Oh... vari focus lens can be adjusted on the 1000 foot cable, fyi. Thank you Lorex for EpoE..

[DAS, iSCSI] Bought this and its matching rx. They seem pretty good. You can select different definitions, FHD, HD, SD, and then can assign them to the 3 types, and allocate bit rates for each. Eg you can select HD, send that to SD and a bit rate of 800 and FHD to HD and a bit rate of 2000 etc. It then selects the resolution type, eg 720P. The only limitation I find a bit strange is that the full range of resolutions, are not available all the time. They vary what is available depending on the Hz, 50Hz or 60Hz of the incoming HDMI. I am using 60Hz, and this does not have 1080i, but if I was using 50Hz, then 1080i would be included.
60Hz has 480i, 480P, 720P, 1080P.
50Hz has 576i, 576P, 720P, 1080P, 1080i.
The other strange thing I notice is that if I select a bit rate of 800Kbps, and then monitor the link at the IP level, it seems to be using about 3.5Mbps.
However, for quality and ease of use, these seem to be great devices.

[Yes, RAID 0/1/5] The Osprey is quite versatile and reliable. We have purchased dozens of the G1 & G2 encoders for use throughout numerous facilities in our extensive network. Our primary use is for multicasting, but we also do a number of unicasts and YouTube streams.
Osprey tech support is so helpful and knowledgeable, which is another huge selling point.
We have used numerous other manufacturers products (HaiVision, Evertz, Ensemble Design, and Lynx). All of them work fine but Osprey offered the best quality and reliability for the price.
