The Intellytech F-165 Bi-Color LED Fresnel with DMXfrom Intellytech F-165 Bi-Color LED Fresnel with DMXhas a 5" lens that provides wide coverage with a variable beam angle from 15-50°. This variable color luminaire allows you to switch from a warm 3000K to a cool blue 8000K color temperature or anywhere in between with a twist of a knob while maintaining a high CRI of 95-99. Another knob controls light intensity from 0-100%. Alternatively, you can use the LCD touch screen to select and display your settings. You can also control light intensity and color via onboard DMX.

The F-165 has all of the benefits of an LED light source. It's very cool running yet manages to output the equivalent of a 1650W quartz fixture while consuming just 1/10 of that power. That kind of post-purchase savings makes for a fast return on investment. What little heat that's generated is easily dissipated by the onboard fan which can be turned off when dead quiet operation is necessary. The F-165 runs on 110-240 VAC current for worldwide use.

The F-165 is a fully tunable white light source allowing you to match existing fixtures from a warm 3000K to a blue 8000K. The on-board controller allows manual intensity control from 0-100%. All of the functions can be controlled via DMX, an ideal feature for broadcast studios. On top of that the light is rated at a CRI/TLCI of 95-99 to render attractive and accurate colors at all ends of the spectrum

The Light Cannon series has a fan that can be turned on or off with the flick of a switch. When on, the unit has 100% power and the fan is very quiet. When the fan is turned off, the unit is completely silent and the output is reduced by 50%. The LED life span also reaches up to 50,000+ hours of use equivalent to 15 years of daily use, 10 hours a day

The metal body housing is made using strong, lightweight, and attractive aluminum for years of use in a professional environment. The high-strength tilt lock provides extremely secure locking, eliminating movement and slippage and ensuring that the fixtures will stay where you put them

The Intellytech LED Fresnel Light Cannon is equipped with a built-in DMX 512 controller, allowing for the brightness and color temperature to be controlled remotely from a console making them perfect for TV studio installations, theaters, stages, or conference rooms

The bi-color Light Cannons have a high-end LCD touchscreen providing the user with a high degree of control and plenty of information. Select the color temperature or brightness level using the LCD screen or by using the control knobs. The LCD provides the user with information regarding the Brightness Level, Color Temperature, DMX Channel, and Internal Temperature.

A: A monolight is a self-contained studio flash which combines the flash bulb, power source, and controls into a single unit. A spotlight is an effect that can be created by using a fresnel or spotlight lens on many lights including a monolight. Barndoors on the other hand cut the light fallout from the sides, top, and bottom. This is similar to a spotlight but cannot be focused or thrown.

[Fresnel] I bought this with the octagon softbox with egg crate. So bright and soft and will go hours on a Vmount battery. I never hear the fan because I use for interviews - close up and I use less than half power. It's also great for still portraits. Best light i have. A little bigger than I thought but I love it. Just what I needed for shooting great interviews with a soft light. 5

[20 to 70°] So far I love this light. There are a few things I would change, like the battery cable is a little wanky, but for a bi-color LED rim light, it's very nice. I started lighting in 1983, so my perspective may be a little old school. I'll go through a couple things for the review: Noise - even with the fan on it's incredibly quiet. I can't see the fan being a noise issue. If it goes out, you can only get 50% power, and I have no idea where to get service in the USA if that happens. Battery Power - Fantastic. We did shut it off between setups, but battery makes it so easy to use, especially places where there are customers or civilians. No cords to worry about. Fits in a Milk Crate - Hey, it fits in a standard milk crate! Long cord - the shore power cord is long enough for professional use. I've recently purchased a Gemini, and the short cord is driving me nuts. This light has a long shore power cord. Color Rendition - On the blue side it's right on, and on the warm side it's a little off, but not enough to make a difference. I really wish it went to 2700 for sunset patterns. Pattern rendition - Fantastic. The fresnel gives a fantastic hard pattern at full flood, which is much of the reason to use a fresnel. Downsides: I can see the barndoors aren't going to hold up that well in a rental environment, the design is poor in that aspect, however taken care of for personal use they should be fine. I wish it had an add/subtract green. Final review: I'm probably going to buy another one. Maybe two. Disclaimer: I don't work for or know anything about the company, just love the light. 5

[21 x 13.2 x 13"] I'm now using this as my main key light. Extremely bright giving you a lot of range even with the softbox. Quiet cooling fan I didn't know was even there. Works from a V mount battery. I can now go completely wireless on a shoot. I little bigger than I thought but worth it. I shoot a lot of interviews and I needed a softbox with a soft light close up in a small space. Works great as a bounce without softbox. Love it. 5

[21 lb] Like all gear they do have their pluses and minuses. But this light has so many pluses!! Its Powerful and versatile. Its become a staple in my kit. Having a Fresnel LED is nowadays a must. And this light delivers and its WIFI works pretty darned well too. It is a bit bulky, but for me thats the only drawback. I havent purchased a battery yet, but that will be the true test. Beside that, with the egg crate it works like a dream. With other brands coming in at double the price, I chose this unit any day! 5

[165 W ] Used the Intellytech Light Cannon F-165 Bi-Color for the first time and was very impressed. Had to create the classic "morning light through a window" look on location at a model home. The F-165 had plenty of "beam intensity" with a beautiful white light that captured the morning "look" perfectly.� Was able to warm the scene by adjusting the color temp.� Quick and easy controls. Later used with the Intellytech softbox as a powerful soft shadowed key, which made for a nice looking "single light" interview. It is a big light for location work, so be sure to use a medium-to-heavy duty stand and sandbag the rig. I'd recommend for anyone in production. 5
