Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. will this work with an akg c414?

A: The Samson SP-01 is designed to be used with large diaphragm condensers that have a threaded bottom. The C414 features a cylindrical base that will not be compatible. the C414 is commonly used with AKG's H85 mount.

Q: 2. Will a Nady SCM-960 fit in this shock mount?

A: I asked this question after placing my order. I'm happy to report that my Nady SCM-960 does have threads and it fits perfectly with the SP01 shock mount. This is interesting because in the photos of the Nady SCM-960 it doesn't appear to have threads. It also came with a mic holder.

Q: 3. Is the grip component removable? So like if I wanted to shoot handheld/monopod style could I release it without taking all the shoulder parts off?

A: The height adjustable camera "Boom" part of the ALZO Bod-A-Boom hands free camera support is not removable. The ball head camera mount on the top of the "Boom" includes a camera quick release plate to allow for fast release and re connect of the camera. This allows for quick change to hand held camera work.

Q: 4. Will this work for the Tascam DR-07X?

A: Yes, this will work with the DR-07X.

Q: 5. Can I order additional bands to have on hand in case one brakes?

A: Yes, ALZO digital sells sets of 4: https://bit.ly/2NklPst

Q: 6. Can you easily switch from horizontal to vertical?

A: Yes you can. The camera is mounted on a Ball head so all you need to do is loosen the knob, arrange the camera how you like (horizontally, vertically, or anything in between), and then tighten the knob to lock it in place.

Q: 7. Can i put a sony 6300 on the Alzo shoulder harness?

A: Yes you can as this system supports cameras up to 10 pounds.

Q: 8. Can I shoot vertically with this ballhead?

A: Yes, that will be possible.

Q: 9. Can the ball head mount be removed?

A: Sorry, never tried removing the ball head. And I don't use this harness anymore. But I would say it is possible to unscrew it.

Q: 10. Can this be used as a snorricam?

A: Yes. This could be used as a snorricam.

[0.655 lb] We modified this mount a little bit by adding a m-7 thread adapter to it to hang a microphone from the ceiling in our conference room. This attachment works great! It does what we need it to. Very solid construction.

[0.655 lb] Looking at the cost initially for this I was a little concerned. This was quite costly for such a small piece. When I received it I then knew why. This was very well build and sturdy. I am very pleased. I guess the saying holds true you get what you paid for.

[0.655 lb] Looks great on wall and works really well with the Canon XA-11 Camcorder mounted.

[0.655 lb] We mounted BlackMagic Design Micro Studio G2 Cameras with long lenses and it balanced well with sturdiness. If you are mounting the bracket to a stud behind sheet rock—be advised that the 4 mounting holes may be too wide and limit you to using only two holes upper and lower.

[0.655 lb] Bought this to replace another mount that I had on a podium. Like the idea that it is shock mounted.

[0.655 lb] This wall mount is actually really useful. I use it to suspend a Canon DSLR with a heavy 24-70 lens from the ceiling of my woodshop where I make YouTube videos. Its very sturdy, I dont worry about $3k of camera coming crashing down on me at all. Id like to get another one to set up another angle, too.

[0.655 lb] Sturdy construction, easy to install. The terminals on the back of the XLR are screw type so you don't have to mess with soldering. The rubber insert is sturdy, yet flexible. We used an Audio Technica gooseneck condenser mic with this mount and are very pleased with it.
