Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Would this work with the Rode VideoMic NTG TRRS output (allowing you to record the signal in addition to the safety track separately) with any mixer with XLR inputs?

A: The adapter has a female 3.5mm TRS connector, so to avoid the possibility of any issues with compatibility, it would be better to use a TRS cable instead of the TRRS cable since the auto-sensing feature may not work properly when connecting to an adapter rather than directly to a mic input. For a standard TRS cable, you could use the Rode SC2 Right-Angle 3.5mm TRS Coiled Patch Cable (B&H # ROSC2). As an easier solution, you can use a single Y-cable with 3.5mm TRS and left/right XLR connectors like the Kopul Y-Cable with 1/8" TRS Stereo Mini to 2 XLR Male Connectors - 3' (B&H # KOSMYCM2XM03) or Hosa Technology Pro Stereo Breakout Cable - 3.5mm Stereo Mini to Dual 3-Pin XLR Male - 3' (B&H # HOHMX003Y) or Hosa Technology Stereo Mini-Phone (3.5mm) Male to 2 XLR Male Y-Cable - 6.6' (B&H # HOYCSMM2XM6). All of the Y-cables are available in longer lengths. The single Y-cable ensures a proper left/right split and helps to avoid introducing noise into the signal.

Q: 2. Will this work with the XH-1 and the XPro 3 with the Fujifilm EF-X500 flash?

A: I have noticed comments online about people using the Canon OCSC with Fuji cameras. Many have said it works but i'm not sure you will have full communication between camera and flash. You would be much better off using a wireless trigger between the camera and flash. Click the link below to view; https://bhpho.to/336nc7V

Q: 3. Will this work TTL with a Fujifilm XH-1 and a Fujifilm Flash gun?

A: No.

Q: 4. Would this work with a Yashica MAT LM?

A: No

Q: 5. Will this start and stop video on a T7 rebel in movie mode?

A: No, unfortunately, the Canon EOS Rebel T7 DSLR Camera can not be triggered for video with ALZO Wireless Radio Shutter Release for Canon Rebel and Pentax DSLR Cameras.

Q: 6. Is this compatible with the Canon EOS R? The compatibility section lists this model, but the overview section does not making it unclear.

A: Yes, the Alzo Wireless Radio Shutter Release for Canon Rebel and Pentax DSLR is compatible with the Canon EOS R camera.

Q: 7. Can someone confirm that this cable splits the right channel and the left channel? I'm thinking it might go well with the Deity Microphone V-Mic D4 duo on and ENG type camera such as the Sony FS5.

A: Yes. This cable will split the left and right on the 3.5mm to seperate male XLR conectors.

Q: 8. Has anyone had fitting problem with this cord with a 5D iii and the 600ex-rt?

A: No problem they fit well

Q: 9. Would this work with my mm-bsm-8 binaural headphones and MixPre-3 II to enable use of the kashmir XLR preamps instead of the aux-in one?

A: No, the ALZO adapter will not work because the MM-BSM-8 binaural headphones require 1.5 to 10 VDC plug-in power and the XLR inputs on the MixPre-3 II can supply 48V phantom power which is way more than needed and will likely damage the mic. The mic is designed to be used with the 3.5mm stereo plug. We have not tested it with adapters to confirm whether there will be issues with phasing and/or noise created by using a Y-type adapter, but it is very possible that could happen. If did want to try using a stereo 3.5mm Y-cable, you would need to use two XLR adapters (one for each input) like the Rode VXLR+ (B&H # ROVXLRP) which has a built-in power converter that converts phantom power to plug-in power. For the Y-adapter, you can try the Hosa Technology Stereo 3.5mm Female to Dual Mono 3.5mm Male Airline Adapter (B&H #HOYCSMF2MMRA) which splits stereo to two individual mono outputs. Again, I do want to mention that we have not tested this setup to confirm whether it will work properly or if it will sound good. We recommend connecting the mic to a 3.5mm TRS input for the proper stereo imaging it was designed to create.

Q: 10. Will this sync cord work with 7D ver1 and a 430ex ll speedlight

A: Yes. I have the exact same camera and flash as you and it works perfectly.

[0.1 lb] So glad I was able to find this adapter. I use it for an unconventional purpose (to send my stereo contact mics into a preamp) but it work very well. I give it 5 stars just for existing.

[0.1 lb] Short and sweet. I used this to go into a field recorder from a Rode Wireless Pro. It's a true 2-channel, not just a splitter; I know that can be misleading with some potential guitar pedal Y-cables...

[21" (53.3 cm)] As in the headline this adapter works exactly as I expected and is perfect for my needs. I needed a better way (I had a kluge) to connect my Sennheiser MKE 440 mic to my Sony XA2000 camcorder, going from the 3.5mm plug on the mic to the XLR jacks on the camcorder. It's definitely more compact than the kluge I had and is working perfectly.

[5 x 4 x 0.4"] This cable works well for me connecting the Rode Wireless mics to two separate channels on the Sony FX6
