Its design exceeds Cat 6 specifications and provides a larger bandwidth than the basic standard cable (sweep frequency up to 400 MHz).

The cable is constructed with four pairs of 23-gauge solid bare-copper conductors. The low-smoke zero-halogen jacket emits limited smoke and no halogen when exposed to high sources of heat, protecting people and equipment from toxic and corrosive gas.

Acting as a shield, an overall metal-foil screen with a drain wire helps further reduce the potential of electromagnetic interference (EMI).
