This 216 MHz Listen Technologies Intelligent DSP RF Receiver 216MHzis an iDSP (Intelligent Digital Signal Processing) personal listening product. Thanks to its DSP SQ noise reduction technology, users experience 20 dB less noise than similar devices without it. The green battery technology reduces costs of ownership and hassles while reducing the number of batteries in landfills. A field-replaceable lithium-ion battery is included with the unit. The integrated neck loop/lanyard with DSP loop driver improves the listening experience for T-coil users. This iDSP device is small and easy to wear, dispense, store, and maintain.

The LR-4200-216 has an OLED screen to display channel names, monitor battery status, channel status, and charge activation. You may connect the iDSP neck loop/lanyard or earphones via one of two 3.5mm output jacks, so the receiver can be shared with another user. The micro-USB connection is used with free iDSP software for charging, set up, programming, inventory management and firmware updates.

This listening device is suited for places where it's difficult to hear, such as theaters, lecture halls, concert venues, and houses of worship.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How low latency is it? Does it use our Wi-Fi network? If so, we have stellar speeds. If not, I'd be concerned about distance.

A: The Listen Technologies LW-100P-02 Listen Everywhere 2-Channel Wi-Fi Server (BH # LILW100P0201) has virtually no discernable audio latency. It connects to your internet router/modem (network) via an Ethernet cable.

Q: 2. Power supply included ?

A: Yes, included in the box would be a 87W External Power Supply

Q: 3. This is confusing. The LT has several transmitters e.g. 72Mhz and 216Mhz for example. I thought for the receivers to work they must tune or be set to match this frequency band. Or is the ListenTALK LKR-12 an FM band receiver?

A: The Listen Technologies ListenTALK LKR-12 Basic Receiver with Li-Ion Battery, Lanyard & Ear Speaker BH #LILKR12A0 operates on 1920 to 1930 MHz (North America). The North American DECT band, is sometimes called 1.9 GHz, and properly called the 1920-1930 MHz UPCS band.

Q: 4. Will this work with a Canon eos 4000d and a voking III FLASH?

A: Due to the lack of a center pin in the hot shoe of certain Canon cameras (e.g. 4000D, T100, SL3, and T7, among others), the Pluto RF Transmitter & Receiver for Canon Cameras (B&H# PLRFTRCAN) will not receive the sync signal from the camera to trigger a flash on (in the hot shoe of the transmitter) or off (in the hot shoe of the receiver) of the camera. If an economy-priced option is desired then we recommend the Godox X2 2.4 GHz TTL Wireless Flash Trigger for Canon (B&H# GOX2TC) for mounting in the hot shoe of any of the aforementioned cameras or any other Canon camera with a pre-2022 hot shoe, or even in those of the most modern version of the Canon hot shoe on a camera such as the Canon EOS R50 with the Canon AD-E1 Multi-Function Shoe Adapter (B&H# CAOCSAADE1). The Godox X1R-C TTL Wireless Flash Receiver for Canon (B&H# GOX1RC) would be added to receive the signal off camera.

Q: 5. For how many hours of usage the battery supports without recharge?

A: The battery in the Celestron Origin Intelligent Home Observatory is estimated to last for about 6 hours on a full charge. There are optional battery tanks such as this one for longer use: https://bhpho.to/2p705o1

Q: 6. What are the advantages/disadvantages of using the 216mhz vs 72

A: The 216 MHz system would be great for large coverage areas. With the right antenna they can reach up to about 3,000 ft line-of-sight. You would only be able to have about 3 transmitters in the same area using 216 MHz, though. 72 MHz has a smaller range of about 1,000 ft line-of-sight, but you would be able to have about 7-8 transmitters in the same area. This tends to be the more popular frequency, as well.

Q: 7. will it charge windows and Mac devices?

A: The SSD is preformatted HFS+ with Journaling for Mac OS 10.X and above. It can also be used with Windows 10 and later via a simple reformat. System Connection: 1 x Thunderbolt 3 Female USB: 1 x USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C (3 A) 2 x USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A (1.2 A) Thunderbolt: 1 x Thunderbolt 3 (87 W)

Q: 8. These devices work with Hasselblad H4D?

A: Yes, we suggest the following unit for a better end-user experience. Vello FreeWave Wireless Remote Shutter Release (Canon Sub-Mini Connection) BH #VERWC1 • MFR #RW-C1 https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/749989-REG/Vello_RW_C1_FreeWave_Wireless_Remote_Shutter.html

Q: 9. Are these receivers compatible with off-brand transmitters in the 72-76 MHz range?

A: The Listen Technologies LR-500-72 Portable Programmable Display RF Receiver (72 MHz) BH #LILR500072 is compatible with Listen Technologies transmitters.

Q: 10. Is this poe powered?

A: Yes it is.

[Dark Gray] This over-the-ear piece is very comfortable to wear. It stays in place and is not a distraction when wearing it.

[0.25 lb] I have almost no hearing comprehension in large venues. I noticed that my Church and also a local performance center used the T-Coil system for the hearing impaired. The Churches system was from Listen Tech so I searched for a receiver. At the time I bought the LR-500-072 BH sold it for substantially less than Amazon, so I grabbed one. The receiver picks up the audio directly from the ministers mic - the sound is clear and you have control over the volume. You do have to supply your own earphones and batteries and there is no charger for the batteries. I did not see this as a problem. The device will scan, if you wish, for the frequency being used and you can block freq that might interfere. This was a great purchase. Having your own unit keeps you a little safer than borrowing the supplied units that others use. 5 star

[Lithium Ion] No more constant background static. This product is working out very well and we have already had several positive responses from members that use them.

[0.25 lb] This unit is a great way to tidy up the cords and keep multiple listening units all in one place. You can label the slots if you like to make it easy for people to find their unit. Great buy.

[0.25 lb] It keeps our ALDs charged and organized between shows. Love the slot for a driver's license while a unit is checked out. Overall, an excellent addition to the ALD system.

[Dark Gray] The Listen Technologies Base System was perfect for our needs; providing assistive listening in a medium sized sanctuary for religious services. It offers both RF and WiFi ear systems for those who are hard of hearing. The instructions that came with it were both easy to understand and detailed enough to make it very easy to install. I was very impressed with the manuals and tech support when most companies are putting less and less resources into support.
