A: This product is only compatible with the Godox E Series and Smart Series lamp heads.

A: Yes. The unit is designed and made for E-series and Smart series studio lights by Godox.

Q: 4. How hot a light can it handle? On my Godox VL300 at 100% one of the magnets came unglued, I could see something smoking but not sure what and I could smell plastics or something that were getting too warm.

A: This unit is meant for flash with the modeling light off. There is no place for heat to escape from.

Q: 5. Will this fit on an ML60

A: The Godox BD-03 Barndoor Kit is for E series lights and will not fit a ML series light.

Q: 6. Will these fit a Profoto zoom reflector II?

A: No, they will not. The Profoto Zoom Reflector 2 uses a non-standard 7.1 diameter reflector, and standard 7 reflectors included with the Godox Barndoor Kit will fall out of the Profoto Zoom Reflector 2. You will have to purchase barndoors and grids specifically designed for use with the Profoto Zoom Reflector 2 if you need them to fit that reflector.

Q: 7. Could it be used for a monolight profoto D1?

A: It can not. It is designed for use with E-series and Smart series studio lights.

Q: 8. Could it be used with a monolight Profoto D1?

A: It does not have the mounts for use with a D1.

Q: 9. What is the diameter of the round gels? I'd want to obtain a wide range of gels for color correction use and wonder if this is a size that can be matched or if one just has to buy larger gels and cut them down?

A: The gel is approximetly 3.75 inches. If you want other gels most get larger ones and cut them down to size.

Q: 10. Will it fit on AD600 Pro?

A: This item was designed to attach directly to a AD400Pro it will not work with a AD600Pro.

I make short films with my friends as a hobby and, let me tell you, this product is fabulous! I purchased the Lowel Omni-Light 500 a few days ago and then recently got the barn doors to allow me more control. I knew I liked it as soon as I took it out of the box. It is a very sturdy built product, not like some other products I've gotten in the past which all but melt in your hands, and was very simple to put on. Altogether, I can't find anything wrong with it. 5

I shoot HDSLR video, and recently picked up a couple of Norman Allure C1000s, plus a set of these barn doors for each. I was very impressed with the construction, ease of use (quick to put on and take off of the fixture, and easy to rotate the doors). These frames also accommodate the soft box kit for these lights, and though I'm not using that accessory, it's nice to know that I can. 5

The extra flexibility allows much more exact control of light than a standard 4 leaf barn door. Works smooth and folds up thin. Very happy with it. 5

Barndoors are absolutely necessary if you are going to purchase an omni, so just get the 4@mn things. They are of course good for shaping light and minimizing it. They are also the product on which to hang foil, so that you don't end up covering the exhaust vent and blowing up your light. If you are serious, just get it. 5
