[Black] I found this set to be a great value, specially if you compare the price of buying them separately. The size is great for everyday use indoors. They come with a carry bag for each umbrella making them easy to carry, they are lightweight. The materials are the traditional Elinchrom quality.

[5/8" Stud] These are very compact, yet built to last and very handy for shoots outside (and inside) the studio. Perfect for smaller modifiers... or bare bulb strobe shooting. I also use them as my backdrop stands when I'm on the go. Had a pair in the past, and these seem to be made from a better and stronger material. Definitely an upgrade.

[9.65 lb] This set is very good and practical. Very light yet solid to mount. It has good materials and the results are very nice.
I only wish they would include the translucent and the black diffuses (which I love using)

[9.65 lb] I tend to shoot mostly outdoors with modifiers like beauty dishes and small soft boxes. I have several ELB 1200's and a ELB 500 TTL. This light is a nice compliment to the other units. It's very well made and feels robust and nicely executed. The TTL works great once you dial in the TTL settings on your camera. I tend to use center weighted 20mm on my Nikon. It fast getting the right setting because you can set it to TTL take a shot and then change to manual and fine tune the output to your liking. The LED is very bright and in the 4k-5k warmer tone range. The battery life is outstanding as I have used the unit on two shoots (around 350 flashes at 1/3-1/2 power) and it's still showing 75% capacity. I was hoping the batteries would be the highly efficient 36 volt units like the ELB 1200 but they are 14.4v like the ELB 500 TTL. The menu is very advanced with a lot of settings like Elinchrom is known for. There is a smart device app you can use to control the flash which is a nice touch. This unit like the ELB 500 TTL uses HSS instead of HI-Sync like the ELB 1200. I like the even light of HSS but I prefer Hi-Sync for it's higher output.

Also I'd like to mention that some time ago I had done a comparison with my ELB 500 TTL against a friend's Godox AD 400 Pro. Both flashes were set at full power and bare bulb from a distance of ten feet. with two light stands, one for the light meter and one for the flash we determined that the Elinchrom's output was .8 stops higher than the Godox. This showed that everything doesn't come down to watt seconds but also how efficiently those WS are turned into light output.

I will definitely be buying another Elinchrom Five and two more batteries as I love the freedom and simplicity of the monolight design. I highly recommend the Elinchrom Five.

[Black] Deploys pretty quickly and the material seems of quality. Make sure not to forget to buy the needed speedrings, otherwise these softboxes are useless.

[34.5 x 6.2 x 4"] I owned (2) Elinchrom One lights but was looking for something with just a little more power when needed. The FIVE more than fits the bill. It provides plenty of power and integrates in to my current system perfectly. It's a bit heaver than the One but it is built like a tank. This will be a great light for my location or studio work.
