A: The platform on this tripod is triangular in shape, its three inches fromone corner to the next. My gimbal head fits nicely on this platform, and this is one sturdy tripod.

A: The feet are interchangable, but where other manufactures use 3/8-16 imperial thread (or 1/4-20 with 3LT), Sirui have used M10x1 on this tripod. To fit alternative feet (I was after longer spikes) I used the 3LT feet (for the smaller thread) and got a thread adaptor machined. You may be able to find an adaptor off-the-shelf, but be aware there are M10x1 and M10x1.25 standards which may both be labelled as M10 Fine .

A: Unfortunately, the legs included with the Tiltall Tripod BM-868 4-Section Carbon Fiber Monopod are not available on their own.

A: Please look at the rubber twist lock. Turn that and a leg extends from inside the mini tripod ring.

A: Yes, the legs can be taken apart for cleaning, though I have not had to do so, despite regular use in sand and salt water. The seals can be replaced, and the manufacturer provides instructions on how that is done. I have used Gitzo and Enduro tripods, and this tripod is the best I have owned for use in and around water and sand.

A: Yes. I use it with my sigma 150-600 sport lens and it works great. It is rated for 33lbs. I think.
