Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Are the leg sections anti-twist, as on Gitzo and RRS?

A: Yes, the same as Gitzo..

Q: 2. can someone who have used this tripod for a while and long periods of time IN WATER please give us a report? i have been trying to find a tripod that's waterproof for years and spent countless of money on so many products that always gave up in water... please confirm the durability of the legs and the rings in water... thanks :)

A: I bought mine in Sept of 2016 and have had it in salt water probably over 60 times. I have never rinsed it off and never wiped it down. Admittedly, I'm pretty tough on my gear and killed 3 previous tripods. B&H recommended this one, so I took a chance on it and LOVE it. Even after everything I had put it through, it works like the day I bought it. I did loose a rubber foot somewhere in Hawaii (oh ya, I even shot the lava with it) and had to have it replaced. But that's it. I look at tripods 2 and 3 times more expensive than this one and thought that I need to spend that kind of money to get a good one. Boy am I glad I didn't and the B&H recommended this one. Super happy with it (and no, I don't work for Sirui.. hahaha). Hope that helped you.

Q: 3. I am going on an Alaskan cruise through the Interior Passage. Four ports. Helicoper ride/dog sled run. Canon 5d Mark IV. Heaviest lens 24-105. Do you think this will work as a general lightweight all-around? Senior lady who wants an easy way to take photos without shaking using different lens. Thank you!

A: One of the great advantages of today's digital cameras is the very high ISO ratings they have. With these high ISO's, you can shoot at a commensurate high shutter speed. Shooting at 1000, 2000, 3000 shutter speed should negate mild and even moderate shake. Of course, if you have a muscular condition that creates more than a moderate shake, then yes, I think this is a good suggestion. It is light, compact even with the three little legs. It will be good even on board ship. Of course, you will not need it for the helicopter or dog sled. I would also recommend a monopod head. This will allow tilt up and down while the monopod is up and down with the legs deployed. Here is a affordable one: Oben VH-R2 Tilt Head for Monopods B&H # OBVHR2. Here is a mid level quality example: Induro TH2 Tilt Head for Monopods B&H # INTH2. Both of these heads have Arca-Swiss type quick releases. That is to say, the included quick release is a desirable industry standard which allows instant on and off the head. Have fun and don't take any wooden pictures.

Q: 4. Need help!!!!! Where can I buy the replacement rubber feet for this product? I lost one of the three rubber feet that comes along with the tripod. Thank you.

A: You can order them at http://www.siruiusa.com or bay phoning 973-415-8082 866-373-0829

Q: 5. can the video bowl be removed?

A: Yes it can be. The 75mm bowl on the Benro Mammoth 3-Section Carbon Fiber Tripod is removable.

Q: 6. Is it steady enough to hold a Nikon D3s + 70-200mm f2.8 or 200-500mm lens?My concern is especially if the tripod is steady enough at the center column not moving or shaking while panning.

A: Yes. I use it with my sigma 150-600 sport lens and it works great. It is rated for 33lbs. I think.

Q: 7. Can I attach a fluids base?

A: If you have a tripod fluid head that has a flat base with either 1/4-20 or 3/8″-16 female threads on bottom the base, then yes, the fluid head may be used with the Tiltall Tripod BM-868 4-Section Carbon Fiber Monopod.

Q: 8. Is it possible to just buy the legs?

A: Unfortunately, the legs included with the Tiltall Tripod BM-868 4-Section Carbon Fiber Monopod are not available on their own.

Q: 9. Can I attach the This XPRO 3-Way, Pan-and-Tilt Head to this tripod?

A: The Manfrotto 190go! Carbon Fiber M-Series Tripod has a 3/8"-16 stud and the Manfrotto XPRO 3-Way, Pan-and-Tilt Head has a 3/8"-16 socket. So you could attach the head without an adapter.

Q: 10. Which dolly works with this for mostly cinematography work? Also if legs are taken to the lowest height, will it still fit on the dolly?

A: The following Manfrotto dollies are compatible with this tripod: 114, 127, 127VS

[Carbon Fiber] Upgraded from an old Manfrotto, and I absolutely love this one! It has a great feel to it, the release joints are easy to use, yet super secure. 10/10 recommend to anyone if it's within your budget!

[4] Im 63 and wanted a monopod that could shoot upward. this is long and folds small enough to fit in/on my camera bags. I would definitely recommend to others.

[4] The purchase itself went well, and the price was very competitive. The tripod and head were what I wanted and needed - high quality, easy to set up and light, light, light. With the (heavyish) scope mounted it is about as heavy as just my old Manfrotto tripod and head alone. Perfect.

[Carbon Fiber] I spent far too much time researching tripods. I'm sure it would have been helpful to stop in to a brick and mortar store, but that wasn't an option, especially in the middle of the pandemic. I'm thrilled I finally settled on the carbon fiber 3-section Manfrotto 190. I don't even notice it when strapped on to the side of my backpack: the three additional inches (compared to the 190 4-section) in folded down height is just not an issue, and I'm glad I traded them for the additional stability that comes from having one less leg section to worry about.

[Twist Lock] .I use this monopod with a FLM CB-32 F Ball Head and RRS B2-LR II Q-R Clamp to provide support for my heaviest telephoto when I am on the move and don't need full tripod support. It doubles as a sturdy walking stick when the camera is not attached, I have only used it without the short tripod legs to keep weight to a minimum while hiking. The twist lock legs provide a secure lock which have never collapsed and operate smooth and precise. I highly recommend this monopod if you need a working height up to 63.8

[Carbon Fiber] I have gone through a lot of tripods because previously I bought cheap ones. I nearly wrecked my camera after one of these cheap tripods broke apart. I have no concerns with this tripod, as it is well built, sturdy, and easy to use. I look forward to using this for years to come!

[5.4 lb] This tripod is light to carry and solid in the wind. It's exactly what I needed for my spotting scope. I added a bit of padding for my shoulder and am enjoying it a lot. A big improvement from my old aluminum one.
