Q: 1. Ia the bag padded? Thank You.

A: Yes, this is a padded bag.

Q: 2. Can the Cannon HFG30 camcorder be mounted on the quick release head that comes with this Sunpak 5858D?

A: Yes, it can. The tripod comes with with head adapters also.

Q: 3. Can a sony ax3000 be mounted on a Sunpak 5858D Aluminium Tripod?

A: As long as it isn't too heavy. My husband is using this tripod for a Canon 30D and will hold the weight quite fine which is about 7 lbs. Hope this works for you!

Q: 4. New to quick release plates. Will quick release plate fit cameras (Nikon, Panasonic) accepting tripods?

A: The quick release plates included with the Sunpak 6601UT Tripod are standard quick release plates using the standard 1/4 -20 threaded tripod connector to connect to digital cameras. While most all cameras and camcorders use a 1/4 -20 tripod connector, as no camera was listed above, I would recommend checking the Specifications tab for your camera to ensure it has a standard tripod connector for your needs. Most all Nikon, Canon, and Panasonic cameras use a standard 1/4 -20 tripod connector on the bottom of the camera.

Q: 5. will this plate fit a zomei z668c tripod?

A: The Tiltall Tripod QR-40 Quick Release Plate is compatible with the tripod head on the ZOMEI Z668C tripod.

Q: 6. what country is this item manufactured in?

A: It is made in China.

A: Legs measured 44 7/8 long: Base 4 7/8 = 49.575 Extenders were very sturdy for my useI don't have an extender.

Q: 8. Is the head removable so I can add a slider onto?

A: If you mean by head the piece you attach to the camera: yes. It is removable. The tripod has a little lever to put it in place and leave your camera very secure.

Q: 9. Will this tripod accommodate the Canon 90D? Thank you!

A: The Slik U8000 Tripod is rated to support up to 4.4 pounds and most lens and Canon 90D combinations will be less than 4 pounds. However, length is a factor in tripod balance too. A longer 70-300 lens might not balance to well with this tripod. This Magnus would be a better option since it is rated to support up to 11 pounds: https://bhpho.to/2UHo8dr

Q: 10. Is this TSA approved to bring in a carry-on?

A: It would really depend on the airline's specific restrictions, as carry-on items would need to add up to a certain measurement. It is best to check with the specific airline.

[3] i too had one of these in the 1970's. it had plastic handle locking grips. it went through a fire, melted the scratch protection pad on the head, plastic grips, rubber feet and center post shock ring. I cleaned the tripod and installed wooden handles on all of the locking mechanisms; took a picture of it and sent it to the company with its story.

to my surprise they sent me a new scratch protection pad for the head, set of (plastic) handles, rubber feet and center post shock ring along with a very nice letter of condolence. it's hard to find a company that dedicated to its customer base these days.

i gave the tripod away to a friend in 1994 who was beginning a photo career. i jokingly requested the tripod back one day and received the reply (with a wink and a smile), "you'll have to pry it from my cold, dead hands."

i highly recommend this tripod as quality "pro" tool.

[3] I own three of these. I bought two, one silver, one gold. My introduction to this tripod was as a college, photo student back in the late 60's. I loved them. Read the other comments for itemized details and performance. I purchased two about eight years ago. I was amazed that the company still existed! The third tripod was given to me when an uncle, a professional photographer back in the 50's, passed away about 15 years ago. It was worn and showed some heavy usage but was totally functional. I replaced the rubber pad on the top where you mount your camera, but that was it. This model, regardless of color finish, will not let you down.

[Aluminum] Wanted this simple, yet extremely functional tripod since I was a teenager, but did not have funds to splurge. Now that I'm a senior citizen and using a 160-600 telephoto lens, this tripod is perfect. It's weight is worth it, giving me the stability I've needed. Nothing flashy. A design that has changed little in over 50 years, because it didn't have to. The carrying case is a nice touch.

[Aluminum] I have worked with this Tiltall Tripod for over 30 years.
I just bought the same model brand new - it is top shelf.
This is a great sturdy and easy to work with tripod.

[1x 1/4"-20 Male] I love the classic design of this very sturdy tripod. The functionality is perfect. Very good materials and workmanship. The product picture is outdated. The actual product has redesigned simpler knobs and the leg that transforms into monopod has a black grip. Special care should be put in the gold finish since it can get easily scratched. I believe is a great option for a tripod that will last many years.

[1x 1/4"-20 Male] The Tiltall TE is heavy and big. It doesn't do a myriad of different things and it takes time to set it up. It is also beautifully well made, smooth to operate and incredibly stable. I like knowing my heavy, expensive, camera gear will work best with this beauty.

[Aluminum] This is the best tripod I've owned - very solid and handles a big camera with a big lens with ease. No, it's not light and I wouldn't make this my first choice for backpacking; but, if you want a very firm base to shoot from, this is a great choice. I like this tripod so much that I bought one as a gift for my daughter (only give things of a high enough quality that you'd like to receive them).

[Pan & Tilt Head] Been shooting over 40 years and this is one of my favorite tripods to use especially on location where the tripod is sturdy enough to even hold up a 4x5 camera and light enough to carry.

[Pan & Tilt Head] This is probably the most stable, solid tripod I've ever used. It handles everything I've thrown at it including a super-telephoto (Z9 w/ 800mm PF). For the big stuff, I did make one change by replacing the 3-way head with a headless center tube and a gimbal head. I still use the 3-way for lighter loads. It was worth it to me to have the solid, stable base this tripod provides and the flexibility of the alternative center tube. The retractable spikes in the feet are a great bonus and greatly enhance the stability in certain circumstance.

RECOMMENDED.

[Aluminum] I bought my first Leitz Tiltall tripod back in the mid-1970's. It was a workhorse that I used for medium and lighter large format cameras. I loved it...so much so that it finally gave up the ghost about a year ago. I purchased this new Tiltall (no longer bears the Leitz name on it) and am happy with it. It looks and feels the same, with the exception that the control knobs are a bit different (e.g., about all the same in look and feel)...but that's OK as I pirated 2 different knobs off of my old tripod. When looking through the viewfinder most of my adjustment are by touch, rather than looking at the knobs making the adjustment...thus the reason for swapping back to 2 of the original (different) knobs. All in all, this is a very good 'old school' tripod for the money. The carrying case that accompanies it is a bonus.
