A: I just purchased this pan head for my mono pod. I love it. As a matter of fact I liked it so much I just purchased another one for a gift for a friend. The quick release plate that comes with the unit attaches to the camera. It tilts and adjusts very smoothly.

[3.35 lb] Used these multi-purpose brackets to mount my Bose Surround Speakers (note, since they are multipurpose, you will not use all the supplied parts). My speakers were a new style speaker so they are not listed on Bose's list of supported speakers. As promised by B&H they worked just fine. The only hitch lies in the supplied #M8 -.80x30mm screws are too long. I went to Lowes and purchased a small pack of M5-.80 x 25mm screws for $2 and they worked just fine. 5

[Steel] I previously purchased the Hercules DJ Monitor 42 speakers and was quite impressed by their sound and quality. I wanted a little more power even though they are both 80 watts but the Hercules Monitor 5 has a separate amp in each speaker while the Monitor 42's have one amp supplying both speakers. They sound great, the bass rolls, the mids are excellent and the high's are clear. Much recommended for studios and what I use it for is my laptop to hear music and games. 5

[Steel] This is really a great design and very well made. The adjustment knob was too tight out of the box and it seemed like I would have to return it. Glad I didn't! A padded Channel Lock pliers got it loose and after that all was great! I little turn on the knob permits tilt and pan and a larger turn releases the side to side movement like a Ball Head. So if you don't want total freedom like a ball head, you just loosen the knob a little and you can tilt forward and back and of course rotate to pan as well. My new favorite tripod head! 5
