The Easyrig Vario 5 Strong Cinema 3 Vest Standard Armis a body-worn support system that is adjustable to support camera rigs weighing 22 to 55 lb. The system works by using a suspension line to support the weight of the gimbal rig, taking the load off your shoulder, neck, and arm muscles and distributing it across your torso. The tension line is adjustable by turning a screw in the back, letting you dial in the appropriate amount of tension for your rig. The system consists of the Cinema 3 double shoulder vest, a Vario 5 Strong support bar, and a standard support arm. A carrying bag is also included for convenient storage and transport of the Easyrig system.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will a Glidecam XR-PRO fit onto the pin of this unit?

A: Flycam lists support for the Glidecam 4000 with this arm and vest kit. While not specifically listed, if it works with the Glidecam 4000 we believe it should work with the XR-Pro as well.

Q: 2. how can I work with Ronin mx? what I need?

A: Nothing else would be needed.

Q: 3. Would this rig fit female dps that range from height of 52-54?

A: Am a female DP and 5'2 , have used this extensively to op and it has definitely been a great accessory to have. Although I'm probably at the shortest end of what this will fit comfortably and decently. They do make a women's specific vest Cinema Flex Vest that I have tried and really is a much better fit but they're for bigger rigs. As far as the minimax comfort, it's pretty good, not perfect but decent for long shots and helps distribute the pressure.

Q: 4. Will this work with a Ronin S?

A: The Flycam Galaxy Arm and Vest Stabilizer is meant to be used with Flycam Camera Stabilizers. If you wish to use a steadicam with the Ronin S, you will want to look at: Steadicam Steadimate-S Aero 15 Arm & Aero Vest Kit https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1493892-REG/steadicam_sdms_a15vk_steadimate_system_with_a_15.html/accessories?sts=pi-ps&pim=Y

Q: 5. would it be possible to get a ronin s inverted mounted on an easyrig mini with a c200?

A: Would do not believe this would be possible and do not recommend it. The Ronin-S is really designed for smaller cameras and using a larger camera like the C200 on it might not be possible.

Q: 6. does it work with WEEBILL S?

A: It will not. We recommend this product instead from Digitalfoto Solutions. https://bhpho.to/3eGpH6z

Q: 7. What happens if you exceed the 15.4 lb weight limit? I know the old Mini spring could break.

A: Dear SirOn the Minimax, there an over weight protection. So it can not break, but at 15 pounds and more the spring will not work and the rope will be at the maximum expansion. Hope it will help. Pierre

Q: 8. Just wanted to ask for some feedback from users. If you had to choose only one, would you choose this or a vest steadicam?

A: Depending on the camera setup and the intention of the shooter, either stabilizer style can excel in production. If you are looking to lighten your overall load with a more handheld-like feel, the Easyrigs are a good solution. If you want a more characteristically cinematic shot I would recommend an arm/vest setup. Personal preference comes into play as well. The design of the Easyrig may not be ideal for certain indoor shots, whereas a arm/vest setup is usually a bit heavier and takes more practice to use effectively.

Q: 9. Will this work with a Glidecam hd 2000?

A: No, this is designed for Flycam sleds. Retrofitting it will provide unstable results.

Q: 10. Would this work with a Dji rs3 pro holding a sony a7s3 and a 24-70 lens?

A: Yes, the Flycam Galaxy Arm and Vest Stabilizer would work with the DJI RS 3 Pro Gimbal Stabilizer holding a Sony a7S III and a 24-70mm lens using the Flycam Arm and Vest Gimbal Adapter for Select Gimbal Stabilizers, B&H # FLCMGA, to mount the gimbal.

[20 lb] Good Lord I waited too long to buy this. It's a hefty purchase (for me), but I've been spending too much money renting this same Easyrig since this particular nonsense came out.

The first week I had it I was strapped to an Arri Amira and some cinema zoom lenses that would've otherwise not been possible for me to operate handheld for as long as we were shooting. Had zero issues adjusting back to my much lighter RED DSMC2 and prime lens package.

I went with the Vario 5 because I knew I'd be using this Easyrig with multiple camera packages and weights. The 5 Extended Arm option was great for me because it allows me to reposition for different camera builds, center of gravities, and easily switch between shooting a balanced shoulder mount or from the hip. I chose the Cinema 3 Vest over the Gimbalrig because I like the smaller profile and it fits me better. I'm about 5'8, 160lbs, and I'm a 30-31 waist size.

[20 lb] I don't know how I ever left home without it. My new favorite piece of gear.

[26 x 16 x 12"] Have used now on four shoots, two all-day hand held, two Movi. At 45, I have back pain on almost any shoot where I have to go handheld for over 15 minutes with my large camera package. I had tried other rigs for the Movi, but never fully evading the 'end of the day discomfort' that was sure to show up. This package changed all of that. Of all the gear I've bought over the years, this has to be my best purchase.

The impact was immediate... walked away from two 14 hour days with zero pain or stiffness. Next shoot, Stabil arm worked so well with my Movi walk-and-talk, again.. no back pain.

The quality and build of this rig is top notch. Nothing overlooked, no expense spared with build quality. And to top it off... takes seconds to 'rig up' with the help of the easy lock waist belt. If I was hot, I'd easily take it off between setups. I could rig-up as late as talent walking to set which is something I could never do before with the movi and other setups.

Bottom line, this rig is an investment in your future as a DP if you suffer from any kind of back pain. Wish I had purchased 10 years ago.

[26 x 16 x 12"] I rented and used different version of the Easy Rig and I Think this has to be one of the better builds. It allows me to go all day handheld without the stress on my back or arms. I've done gigs all handheld without a rig and now with a rig. I have to say that I will never go back to without a rig. This support system is putting years back onto my career. It's pricey, but then what not expensive in our business. Solid build, sturdy, and well crafted. There are other rigs that are out there that less expensive. I know. I've used them. They pale in comparison to this one. So, do yourself a favor and buy once and don't settle for a cheap imitation.

[26 x 16 x 12"] Unless you're doing gimbal work, this is the best EasyRig for most setups.

The Vario gives the user the ability to adjust tension for a wide range of camera sizes and weights. The gimbal vest is great for waist support, much preferred over the original vest in my opinion. The 5 arm is the perfect size to get the camera off your shoulder but not be obtrusive in your environment.

Only wish I bought this sooner.

[Vest System] After years of renting Easy Rigs, dealing w/ the uneasy feeling knowing that other people probably sweat in them as much as I do and not knowing how good the rental houses clean these things, I finally got around to investing in one of these. Perfect for low mode where it can hold the camera weight chest height or lower, or static shoulder shots to give the shoulder a break. I've used this countless times over the years and finally got one. Should have done it sooner. Now I gotta save up for the Stabil arm

[Vest System] An absolut must for all heavier non-broadcast cameras such as the Sony F3. It's kind of the only solution for handheld shooting without an assistant which i use it mostly for shooting manly documentaries.

[Vest System] This is great for a cinema style camera build. I fly a Arri Amira with zoom lenses, FIZ and teradek, so something in the 25lb range. This system allows for me to go hand held all day with minimal effort. I'm a large guy, 220lbs and 6' tall, and the cinema 3 vest fits me just fine with plenty of room for larger guys. These things are built like tanks, you can zip tie the bag shut and check it on airlines no problem.

Easyrigs are basically career extenders that save your back.
