Offering a 10-stop reduction in exposure, along with infrared attenuating abilities, this 67mm Tiffen 67mm Water White Glass IRND Filter 10-Stopenables the use of longer exposure times with maintained color fidelity. By darkening the entire scene, this 3.0-density filter allows you to work with wider apertures or longer shutter speeds without overexposing your image, in order to better control depth of field or convey movement more easily.

The IRND design of this filter has been optimized for use with digital sensors and works to attenuate both visible and infrared light. Digital image sensors are more sensitive to a greater range of light spectra, and as such are prone to color shifts or casts when photographing darker subjects or scenes that require increased exposure times. This filter's unique design helps to suppress false colors for greater neutrality and faithful color reproduction.

This filter is constructed from Water White glass and is made using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between 2 pieces of optical glass, grinding flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, and mounting to precision metal rings.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. How many stops would I need to do a long exposure of the direct sunset with a bright reflection off a river? I already have a 3, 6, and 10 and I can't get a past 2 second shutter speed with the 10 stop. Should I stack them or buy the 15 or 20 stop?

A: It is always better to use as few filters in front of the lens as possible so one 20 stop filter would be a better choice.

Q: 2. Can this be used as a drop-in filter (with the threaded drop-in) with Canon 300mm f2.8L IS USM II & 600mm f4L IS USM II lenses?

A: Yes, the Hoya HD MKII IR ND8 Neutral Density Filter (52mm) can be used as a drop-in Canon EF 300mm f/2.8L IS II USM Lens and the Canon EF 600mm f/4L IS II USM Lens.

Q: 3. Does this filter fit inside Tilta Mini Matte Box 82mm adapter ring?

A: Yes.

Q: 4. I have a mirrorless camera that I had converted for IR photography; regular ND filter do not have any effects on exposure; I want to shoot IR with long exposure, will this NiSi IRND do the job?

A: No, the NiSi 82mm PRO Nano IRND 3.0 Filter (10-Stop) would not be compatible for your usage needs. It does the opposite of what you are looking for; it is designed to block IR to the extent that there will not be infrared pollution when taking a long exposure. As an alternative, the filters in the NiSi Swift FS ND Filter Kit (82mm), B&H # NIRFSNDSWK82, are designed to pass all wavelengths of light evenly, so this would also be an alternative for your usage needs. Also, as standard neutral density filters pass along infrared light unless it specifically indicates it has IR reduction, a filter such as the Hoya ProND EX 1000 Filter (82mm, 10-Stop), B&H # HOPNDEX1T82, should also work for your usage needs. https://bhpho.to/3ieQ30o https://bhpho.to/3LZm8bn

Q: 5. Do I need holder as well and I used 24-120 and 20mm most if time which one will be fit?

A: You will need a filter holder and step-up or step-down rings depending on your lens filter thread size.

Q: 6. Are theses filter can be hold with the nisi 100mm holder v5 ?

A: Sorry shopper, these Cinema filters will not fit into the V5 Holder.

Q: 7. Will my lens hood still fit on my lens with this filter?

A: Typically this is determined by the lens in question, but because the front and back are the same diameter, it shouldn't be an issue.

Q: 8. Does this filter fit on Lee filter holder ?

A: Yes.

Q: 9. What all do I need to attach this to a Nikon 16-35 lens?

A: You need an adapter ring and a filter holder. You can click the links below to view; https://bhpho.to/2ToOsZW https://bhpho.to/3cvVunl

[0.15 lb] I bought this ND filter so that I can shoot video at a proper shutter speed and still use a low f-stop in broad daylight. It works great, allowing me to keep distracting backgrounds nicely blurred. When shooting towards the sun this filter in combination with my Nikon series E 50mm F1.8 does lose some contrast if I don't use a hood or a matte box. Nothing that can't easily be corrected by some slight curves adjustment in post. The color I get through this filter is very good, even though it's an ND2.1 everything comes out very natural with no noticeable color cast to the image.

[Glass] I bought this for an upcoming China shoot and paired it with my Sony A7s. I had to return this for the Tiffen 1.2 IRND. I wasn't unhappy with the 2.1 at all. What it came down to was that: I wanted a little more room to create a larger depth of field. This filter does however bend towards a green shift, so make sure you compensate for that in camera.

[67 mm] Great filtration. I will be using this quite a bit on the A7s. The only issue is that it leans a little towards the green spectrum. Make sure you adjust your image in the camera accordingly. Other than that, it's a solid buy.

[Aluminum] Why buy anything less than the best when you use the best Zeiss Glass. The Water White Glass filters are a CLEAR winner from Tiffen.

[Aluminum] I used this filter on a recent trip to New York. Filter worked great for me. There was very little color cast and I ended up with some great shots.
