The ATEN CS1716A 16-Port KVM Switch for PS/2 & USBis a control unit that allows access to multiple computers from a single PS/2 or USB keyboard, mouse, and monitor console. A: The IOGEAR 8-Port USB HDMI KVMP Switch does not have network support.

A: Yes, they will continue to connect to the internet in the same manner as always. This device is only intended to share a monitor and keyboard/mouse (or other USB devices) between otherwise independent computers.

A: You should be able to simply plug the monitor directly into the computer you want to have the display attached to and leave the keyboard and mice cables plugged in the KVM switch and to the attached PCs. I'm not sure why you would want to use the switch with no visible display unless you now have 2 monitors one for each PC and a single mouse and a single keyboard.
