Suitable for use with cameras weighing under ten pounds, the Kessler Crane KC-Lite 8.0 Compact Craneis a lightweight jib that features the same attention to detail and construction that Kessler Crane KC-Lite 8.0 Compact Craneis known for. The single support rail design is portable and breaks down into two four-foot sections for transport or storage. Made from aluminum, the jib can support up to ten pounds of camera and accessories, 30 pounds of counterweight, while only weighing 12.5 pounds itself.

The jib's support arm and control arm are each assembled using the included locking knobs and coupler bar. Once assembled, the jib has a length 5.5' from the camera platform to the jib's fulcrum, and you can move the jib through 11' of vertical movement. Mounting to your tripod's camera plate, the jib takes advantage of your tripod system for both support and movement, so make sure you mount it to a tripod that can comfortably support the weight of the jib, your camera, and counterweights. An optional brake assembly can be added to lock the jib in place, and the available short tip assembly replaces the standard length front of the jib, creating a shorter length jib, useful in tight spaces.

The jib arm mounts on your tripod system, which allows you to move your camera through smooth vertical and horizontal arcs for graceful cinematic camera moves. The control arm allows you to tilt the camera while it is traveling through its arc. This allows you to tilt the camera independently of the jib action.

The jib is made from 6061 aluminum, so it is both strong and lightweight, and it breaks down into two easily transported sections without requiring tools.

A black non-reflective powder coat finish resists corrosion and wear.

Tripod head and legs are not included and must be sourced separately. Please be sure that your tripod head and legs can safely support a minimum of 52.5 pounds

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can I center mount this cineslider to a regular 1/4' or 3/8' screw from a quick release plate?

A: You could, but it also depends on how strong the tripod and head that you're mounting it to.

Q: 2. Will the inner part support a 75mm video head? I'm interested in it because it says that it will remain flat in a 75mm bowl tripod (which helps with sliders). I have the carbon 645 Fast from Manfrotto.

A: The Kessler Crane 100mm Ball Kit adapts flat-base tripod heads to 100mm as well as 75mm bowl tripods.

Q: 3. Does it have an electric pump or a manual pump?

A: The Kessler Crane Lamprey Adapter (8") has a manual pump. Kessler has discontinued AutoVac product line that provided electrical pump options.

Q: 7. Does the plate actually weigh 1 lb? That seems kind of high, didn't know if the weight was referring to the shipping weight ...thanks

A: Yea it does. If not exactly, it's close to it. It's a solid piece of metal. Still holding up for me no prob.

Q: 8. Does this slider works with a manfrotto 501 head?

A: The Kessler Flat Mount Adapter gives you a 3/8 -16 stud on the cart of the CineSlider, so you can mount a flat mount head, like the 501.

Q: 9. Can you use this to mount a Kessler Cineslider to 100mm bowl-size tripod legs?

A: Yes. This item BH #KETH1019 allows and users to mount flat items like the underside of the Cineslider to the 100 mm bowl based Kessler Tripod System.

[48 x 8.5 x 8"] These feet are practically necessary for the Kessler brand sliders. I wish they would just come bundled with the sliders (although I guess there is going to be a new kit for the Stealth slider.

[15.55 lb] These are about the best utility plates I've seen. Very heavy duty. I use them to hold my 5 x 7 and 8 x 10 view cameras,

My only quibble is that there's no 1/4inch hole on the centerline. The provided 1/4 - 20 machine screws will work, but they should be just a tiny bit longer IMHO so there is at least 2 or three full thread engagement in the camera tripod socket.

[48 x 8.5 x 8"] I was looking for a compact, easy to use jib for real estate videos and some documentary actualities. I tried the DJI Osmo but it wasn't as smooth as I needed it to be (it still shows the slight up and down movements when you're walking, although it's really smooth otherwise). I've used Fisher dolly jibs and others and know how smooth they can be and while the Kessler Pocket Jib is no Fisher, it's still awesome. It's perfect for my needs. It's compact, easy to put together, very sturdy and works the way I hoped it would. When it's folded up, it's no larger than my collapsed Manfrotto tripod legs and it weighs about the same, maybe slightly less. The length is a big plus, too. I'm able to extend my tripod legs to full height and get large swooping shots when needed. I highly recommend to anyone looking for fluid and smooth dynamic shots with a compact jib.

[15.55 lb] Best portable jib, but you pay the price. It's really compact, very well built and quite easy to use. If you want the best and can pay the price, go for it.
