The ATEN DisplayPort USB KVM Adapter Cableis designed to connect a KVM switch to the DisplayPort video and USB ports of a target computer. The adapter cable supports a DisplayPort connection and provides a USB plug to connect a target computer for Smart Card or CAC support.

The Virtual media and CAC reader functions of this item are not supported for the following ATEN products: KH1508A, KH1516A, KH1508Ai, KH1516Ai, KL1508A, KL1516A, KL1508Ai, KL1516Ai, KH2508A, KH2516A, KN2116A, KN4116, KN2132, or KN4132.

Q: 5. when a pc is connected through this switch, during boot are the motherboard bios screens, shown in the monitor? that is the post report, or the boor menu if called for , the bios itself if called for.............I just returned a Tripp Lite 4 port display port switch that would not display any video until the windows welcome screen which is when the windows video drivers take over...... A switch that will not display the motherboard bios...has no value...Tech support had no comment...these PC worked perfectly with a StarTach switch...so no issue with the PCs

A: Yes, this switch should do the trick. I use this switch for my work laptop, which uses disk encryption and won't boot windows until a password is entered. I also have my desktop machine connected to the switch and see the BIOS splash screen and on occasion I've interrupted the boot process via keyboard (connected to the switch) to modify the BIOS setting. A: No. This would support Supports resolutions up to 3840 × 2160 at 60 Hz.

A: There is no indication from Aten's own documentation (website, datasheet, and user manual) that HDR10 is supported.

A: You would be able to switch between the two devices using this ATEN CS64U 4-Port USB KVM Switch, by pressing the "HOT Keys" on your Keyboard.

[1x RJ-45 Female] Unlike many KVMs, this thing actually does what it says it can. I'm running two 4K monitors at 60Hz with absolutely no stability issues between a Mac and an Ubuntu machine. Will definitely go for another ATEN box if my needs change. 5

[1x RJ-45 Female] Switch worked perfect out of the box. It was purchased mainly to take care of workstation and laptop being connected to the same monitor (ASUS) through DisplayPort. Bonus - now I can use same keyboard. Works great so far. 5

[Yes] Since I only needed this for video and keyboard, I haven't tested the way in which it handles audio. But for my needs� (switching between Mac Pro 5,1 and a Macbook Pro) it works fine. I did need two adapters to go from Display Port to Mini Display Port. 5

[Yes] This cable is durable and works great! Small enough to fit in my bag but long enough to work with external displays at mobile work stations. No issues with resolution or refresh rate. I received this product in exchange for an unbiased review. 5

[1x RJ-45 Female] I have used Aten KVMs for years. Whenever I am looking for one for another purpose or to match upgraded equipment, I always end up buying another Aten. This KVM doesn't disappoint. Are you stuck working from home? Do you have a sweet home computer with multiple DisplayPort monitors? Do you want to be able to use that same setup with a work computer or laptop? If you answered yes to those questions, this is the KVM for you. I bought this for my wife so she can use her dual monitor setup with work and home computers. She love s it.
