Q: 1. Does this Anton Bauer Performance Series DUAL Charger Gold Mount have the same built in discharge charging capability as the Quad version of this charger? I ask because the discharge feature is required by the TSA's rule that batteries be depleted to the 30% or less for air travel.

A: The 30% for air travel setting is only possible with the Quad, not the Dual.

Q: 2. does this mount on the back of the 1710?

A: I dont use the portabrace... its in a pelican case and when removed sits without a cover. I use Vmount batteries (with an adapter). Like Litepanels though, Ive noticed that the monitor gets hotter using batteries, so you might take that into consideration covering it during use.

Q: 3. Just wanted to confirm this would work to charge the Dionic 26V batteries. And if so is there a great benefit to getting the 26V version of this charger?

Q: 4. If this charger is 40% more efficient, does it charge a battery 40% faster that the Anton Bauer LP2?

A: The efficiency claim is regarding using less electricity for doing the same thing. As to speed in charging, the design is tweaked to charge the least depleted battery first so you get a charged battery back in the least amount of time.

Q: 5. Any issues with this charger charging non-AB batteries? Such as Core or Pag batteries?

A: We can only confirm that the Anton/Bauer LP4 Quad Battery Charger (Gold Mount) will work with Anton Bauer batteries, other brands may also be compatible but we are unable to confirm which would will work and which will not.

Q: 6. I have the v mount performance dual charger model but, I can't seem to get the wi-fi working. Is my unit defective or is the wi-fi firmware not out yet?

Q: 7. I'm trying to keep my JVC GY-LS300 going. Will this plate work with my camera?

A: The Anton/Bauer Gold Mount for JVC Camcorders will not work for powering the JVC GY-LS300. This adapter is for larger JVC shoulder mounted ENG cameras.

Q: 8. Does this mount directly to back of the FS7 camera, or to the XDCA-FS7 Extension Unit?

A: I mounts directly to the camera. It's nice and compact.

Q: 9. Can this be attached to a zacuto Swiss Plate?

A: This plate has the industry standard mounting hole configuration. The Zacuto Zwiss Plate V2 B&H # ZAZZWP2 has that configuration amongst several others.

Q: 10. Will this also work for the FS5?

A: No, this does not fit the PXW-FS5. This device has to fit into the camera's battery box plus fits into screws that are on top of the PXW-FS7. The PXW-FS5's viewfinder would also be in the way of this fitting.

[1x D-Tap] These are my go to batteries. They pack a punch and will power a SmallHD 702 bright for 6 hours on a steadicam. The USB outlet comes in handy for so many purposes. I can charge/power an Ambient ACN-CL Lockit on camera or power a small USB 5V portable fan for those really hot days. The Dtap lets me power a Litepanels brick on location for hours. Don't need to say much about Anton Bauer Quality and performance. If you have been in the business for a while you already know. 5
