Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What is the assembled size of the rack, not the shipping size of the box?

A: According to Hamilton Buhl, The HamiltonBuhl HH Headphone Holder Rack BH #HAHR • MFR #HH is 17x12.3 x 9.5 inches.

Q: 2. can I use the grip head with a normal mic stand?

A: No, it's designed to be used with a light stand or C-Stand, but not a mic stand.

Q: 3. Is there any way I could mount this onto a boom stand with a 5/8 male thread? Maybe an adapter? If anybody knows please let me know.

A: Yes with a C stand Knuckle, something every cinematographer should have in the kit. Just make sure the boom pole and Mic don't get too front heavy, if so sandbag the stand to stabilize it. Better yet use a century stand rather than a lightweight light stand.

Q: 4. Is the grip head in this kit smaller than a standard grip head that comes with a typical C Stand? I already have a C-Stand with grip head but am hoping this is smaller, so I can use it for travel with a travel light stand and sand bag counterweight.

A: Hi Sheldon, I believe they are a standard size. Hope this helps :)

Q: 5. Could this headphone holder be attached to a C stand and rotated to store headphones on a c stand instead of a clamp?

A: The headphone hanger portion of the K&M 16085 Table Clamp Headphone Holder attaches to the clamp via a small plate and screw and therefore would likely have trouble attaching to a C-stand in the same manner. The entire holder could likely be attached to a C-stand by using the clamp, however.

Q: 6. can it be wall mounted?

A: The HamiltonBuhl HH Headphone Holder Rack BH #HAHR is not wall mountable.

Q: 7. What is the total height of this stand?

A: The height of the Auray HPDS-B Desktop Headphone Stand is 10 inches.

Q: 8. Can this mount to a light stand?

A: Yes. You will need the C-stand knuckle. When it's set up remember to either sandbag your C-stand securely or make sure that the cantilevered mic/boom pole don't tip the C-stand over.

Q: 9. could this be used with a c stand? looking for a headphone holder that can attach to a cstand without taking up too much space

A: Yes, the Auray COHH-2 Clamp-On Headphones Holder for Mic and BH #AUCOHH2 could be used on a c stand as long as the diameter of the tube is not larger than 1.2''.

Q: 10. Would this work with a rode shotgun microphone?

A: This combination is great to hold a microphone boom pole that you could the attach a shock mount to and thus a rode shotgun to that. It would not work to hold the shotgun by itself.

[0.25 lb] This stand replaced a plastic one by Audio Technica that I had. It's better and pretty much every way. I haven't had any problems, it holds on tight, and I never feel like I have to over tighten it.

[3.9 x 2 x 1.75"] I was so pleased with the first one, I then got a second one. One is mounted on each end of the desk to hang two differeent headsets for my ham radio station. These help to unclutter the desk when headphones are not in use.

The holder is very well built and I like the flip-up feature too.

[3.9 x 2 x 1.75"] I didn't expect for it to be that useful. Bought it just in case and found it extremely valuable every single day. The build quality is robust, and it looks discreet. When not in use it's collapses and doesn't stick out.
