The 32" OC-OSB80Raya Octa Soft Box for 32" Fluorescent Lightfrom Raya Octa Soft Box for 32" Fluorescent Lightis an 8-sided light modifier supported by aluminum flexrods which are attached to the separately purchased Raya Octa Soft Box for 32" Fluorescent Lightfixture.

The softbox features a highly reflective pebbled interior and a removable front face that attaches with simple touch-fasteners. It also has a detachable interior clip-on diffuser for additional soft light if desired. In use, it renders the signature wrap-around look that the modifier's shape is well known for, as well as natural circular catch-lights in your subjects eyes. This softbox is made to be used with the OC-OF7 Fluorescent 7 fixture and fluorescent lamps only.

The CCT color temperature is 5,061K, with color accuracy measurements listed as CRI 87.6 and TCLI of 70. Unfortunately, they did not have a lumens measurement for this light fixture setup.

A: I would say no.Reason is it struggles to put out enough light.Up close it does good,well diffused light but I bought bigger bulbs because I wanted more light from it

A: While the Savage 50W LED bulbs have the same Edison base as the fluorescent lamps included with this fixture, they have not be tested by the manufacturer as being fully compatible. Your results may vary.

A: Unfortunately, the Raya Octa Fluorescent 7-Socket Fixture 1-Light Softbox Kit is only suitable for fluorescent lamps or LED lamps.

[Yes, Removable] This is an excellent video light kit that works even better if you replace the included Compact Fluorescent bulbs with LED versions which are now available relatively cheap up to about 100 w equivalent. They are far cooler, take up less space, and use much less power. In addition you can mix daylight bulbs with warm ones. Sadly, it is not that good a substitute for strobe flash lights for still photography because, contrary to what your eyes tell you, you will need to crank the ISO way up to get proper exposure. It just reinforces the notion that those incredibly short strobe flashes deliver an incredible amount of light. Unlike a camera's sensor, our visual system does not consider an extremely bright flash to a long duration bright of lower intensity as having equal power. I've got 4 of these and I still need to up my ISO to 800 or above. The socket, softbox and lightstand are all well made and should work fine installed in a studio. Can't comment on how well it would work if used as a portable unit. Some people report problems getting the softbox part set up, but I haven't had any problems. After installing the first metal rod, I always install the next one on the opposite side. The last couple will require that you bend the rod in order to reach the socket. Overall the lighting kit is a terrific value. 5

[Yes, Removable] Good package from B&H. I had to switch to on-line martial arts instruction when covid-19 hit. Too many options for video lights, so I chose to trust B&H to put together a practical package. I'm glad I did. They're bright enough that I can have them high and far apart. Coverage is very good, and skin tones are spot on. Stands are durable and trustworthy. I run them for about 2 hours per day, 4 days per week, no issues. 5

[Silver] Yes, it can be finicky at first, but I now keep these folded up with the sticks in their little loops, I place the speed ring inside the soft box on the silver side, and then attach the sticks in opposing order, meaning: One at the top, then one at the bottom, then one at the left, then one at the right. If you do this, it's not much more complicated to set up than a Chimera, it's just that your crew won't be used to it and you will have to show them once, then everyone gets it. Quality of the light is great, it's lightweight and small and the octagon reflection in the eyes of talent is exactly what you want. Oh, and great value for money. I might buy more... 5

[Silver] For me the hardest part is quickly assemble a softbox when I change my place for a photo shoot, and these Raya Octa Soft Box are very easy to assemble and transport, produce very good light when they are in zenith position. An opcional Grid would be incredible. 5

[Silver] Better then expected! Well made, durable, function great. Bought the package of two on sale and feel it was a steal. Not a snap open setup, but does matter, as I don't move the around much. Only complaint was they arrived with four broken bulbs. I now have a total of six of these lights and will not look back on the purchase. 5

[1.7 lb] I needed soft lights for green screen, as well as talent. I purchased 2, then 2 more, then 4 more. Probably going to get a couple more. I'm lighting up a 38' x 17' space. Works well for my needs. 5
