Q: 1. What ceiling mounting accessories are recommended for this product?

A: According to Page 03 & 04 in the Installation Manual for the JBL CONTROL 18C/T, it comes with a C-Bracket that is compatible with most ceiling material. A tile rail can be used with tiled ceilings. There is also the JBL MTC-47MR Mud-Ring Bracket, available separately as BH #JBMTC47MR that can be used in the plaster for new ceiling constructions. A: Yes. This will accept 12awg spaker cable.

Q: 7. Do these have anyway to be mounted on a stand? Such as a microphone stand that some of the other compact loudspeakers do? I won't be able to wall-mount these, need them portable.

A: They shop with the available wall mount hardware. They can also sit on a desk/tabletop. They don't have holes on the bottom to be mounted on a mic stand. Behringer makes a similar item that has stand mount holes in the bottom, but are self powered.

Q: 8. It looks like the C221 is side-ported. How much space is required between them in an LCR configuration for the ports to work as designed?

A: The Ports sum with the LF almost in place. As long as the ports are not obstructed, there shouldn’t be an issue.

Q: 9. I know that the maximum throw is about 44 ft. But, what is the minimum distance? In other words, how close can I sit before integration is compromised? Is 10-12 ft too close?

A: The JBL Two-Way ScreenArray Cinema Loudspeaker (B&H # JBC211) has a minimum usable distance of about 3'. Ideally, listeners should be within a 20° angle of the front of the speaker.
