Great for outdoor applications, the gray JBL AW266-LS 15" Passive All-Weather Loudspeakeris a high power, lightweight, 2-way, full-range loudspeaker system well-suited for outdoor entertainment centers, sport facilities, themed entertainment venues, cruise ships, and water parks.

The AW566-LS has a power rating of 400W (1600W peak), which drives the Differential Drive 15" low-frequency woofer and high-frequency compression driver. The large format Progressive Transition wave-guide provides excellent 60° x 60° coverage, allowing the loudspeaker system to be used in either the vertical or horizontal orientation. The enclosure is constructed of multilayer glass composite with a 16 AWG stainless steel grille that's backed with open cell foam and stainless steel mesh, providing excellent protection in the harshest environments. The system can be operated as an 8-ohm device and is equipped with a 400W transformer for 70/100V applications. This loudspeaker is EN 54-24 compliant for life-safety applications.

[1] These are great for monitors and work well for mains in a small club. To get the best reproduction, use a least a crown amp with 500W into 8 Ohms. If you are using them for mains, I recommend sweeping it with a 1/3 octave eq. 5

[Gray] Great Loudspeakers, anyway u like it. Recently bought 2 of these bad boys, for my rack system, performance is at its best, when u set your stereo components to the levels best suited. Very happy, everyone should have a pair.. yippee!!!! 5

[1] I replaced the front speakers of my surround system with these. The slim profile looks great next to my tv, but the sound is large. When I listen to music, I just use these and my subwoofer and get the complete frequency range without adjusting any eq. 5

[1] At home stereo set up, wanted to try new tech, noticed local rental joints are exclusively QSC (no passive speakers though). Ordered smallest QSC speakers - I liked their look for home and their 85 degree pattern; with the idea to return them if I don't like the sound . I employ them with a 200W Mackie amp and SVS-SB3000 sub, through a DDRC-24 Dirac Live room corrector. The result is very pleasing, and the Tannoys are now retired. There is more clarity in the sound and I can push more (a lot of) power into the system with the clarity still remaining there. I don't have to sit on the sofa to enjoy the sound, so 85 degree pattern is working well. Note they are not flat, they require EQ/DSP corrector. 5

[2-Way] They performed as well as expected, magnificently! Very much meant for the lower end of the audio spectrum with the kicks than the higher highs. All the documentation that came with it was quite helpful as well such as how to hang it. 5
