[1/4"-20] Best option for a small DSLR Camera. Originally bought a Kessler Short moun,t but it was longer than needed for my Panasonic DMC- FZ1000 camera. In addition, the Short mount comes with both 1/4-20 and 3/8-16 mounting screws: Because the slot for the screw has to accomodate both screws, the 1/4-20 screw falls out of the slot when removed from the camera. The mount must be removed from the camera to change the battery or memory card to allow the access door to open. There is risk of losing the screw in the field when opening the access door. The Kwik Mini plate fits better, has only the 1/4-20 screw for the camera (which does NOT fall out of the mount) and provides about 3/4 inch slide adjustment. Much better choice for camera mounting.

[1 lb / 0.5 kg] I love these Kessler Mini Plates. Sometimes I'm just not hungry enough to eat a whole big plate of quick release plates. Too many calories and just too tough on the old teeth. But these bite-size mini plates are perfect for snacks in between shots or right before bedtime. Yum!
Oh, and they're great for mounting small cameras to Kessler quick releases as well. Perfect size for 35mm size bodies or small video rigs. Built solid. Burp!

[0.245 lb] great quality and very sturdy. I do not have to worry about gear coming loose. Easy to install and operate. I use it to attach a Kessler pocket jib traveler to my benro sticks and never have had a problem. I just picked up a slider plate for it and it works great.

[1 lb / 0.5 kg] We purchased this plate to go with our Kessler short slider. We also purchased a medium length quick plate for our camera and the received unit for our tripod. Honestly, I don't know why tripod manufacturers don't copy Kessler. This is the BEST way to go! So called "quick release plates" that slide on and off tripods are fine but this is MUCH BETTER!!! You just put your camera on it and gently push down...click, and it's on the tripod safely. Slide it back and forth to get the perfect balance, flip the lever to lock and you're ready to go. To remove, release the locking lever, push a button and lift your camera off. Easy. Got a slider? Same thing to lock it on to your tripod. We will never go back to the old way. I highly recommend this and all the items related to this system.

[1 lb / 0.5 kg] I used to have one of the small plates on my A7R but found it getting in the way of certain lenses, and on certain setups. I switched to the mini plate and gone are the issues. The Kessler Kwik system has been my go to for almost a decade now. I love it.

[0.245 lb] These are about the best utility plates I've seen. Very heavy duty. I use them to hold my 5 x 7 and 8 x 10 view cameras,


My only quibble is that there's no 1/4inch hole on the centerline. The provided 1/4 - 20 machine screws will work, but they should be just a tiny bit longer IMHO so there is at least 2 or three full thread engagement in the camera tripod socket.
