A: My base settings on the D810 was, 30 sec, f/8, ISO 400. Early morning with shade. I was pleased with the results.

Q: 2. Will these work with my AF-S DX Zoom-NIKKOR 12-24mm f/4G IF-ED? It takes a 77mm filter. Not sure if these will work with a wide angle? thanks

A: will for the time being I have not used and could not tell whether or not work at all if you'll excuse me and thank you very much for asking

Q: 3. Are these filters multi coated?

A: No, the filters in the Tiffen UV Protection & Circular Polarizing Filter Photo Twin Pack (77mm) are not multi-coated.

Q: 4. how come there is no explanation to what this does??

A: It is a new item so it has not been written yet. Create interesting Bokeh that mimics the classic mirror lenses. The Kase Mirror Filter can add some fun and interesting shaped Bokeh to your portrait and landscape videos and images.

Q: 5. What is the difference between using extension tubes and close up filters?

A: Both products accomplish the same thing. This set of filters will allow you greater control than one extension tube. Other factors to consider are cost, ease of use, etc.

Q: 6. Is it possible to see through plastic with this filter on a Nikon Z7ii? Or does it require other special equipment?

A: The Ice 77mm HB760 Infrared Filter has a filter factor of ~1000x and ~10 stops of ND. You will not be able to see through the glass unless you are aiming the filter directly at a bright light.

Q: 7. How thick is the filter ring?

A: The ring itself measured 4mm. That is how much it will be after screwing onto the lens.

Q: 8. will this work on sony alpha cameras? i heard you need to modify the camera in order for this to work? I have a7s and a6500

A: The filter works perfectly without any changes to the camera, do you need to do some post processing and you can check on YouTube. I highly recommend the filter

Q: 9. There are single and dual element close-up lenses. The single ones, produce chromatic aberration (unwished yellow and blue line contours) and the double ones dont. Are this tiffen lenses single or dual element. Do they produce CA?

A: These are single element. Chromatic aberration will depend on your lens setup.

Q: 10. does this filter pass 5577 angstroms? I wish to pass 5577 for auroral photography, but otherwise block Na 5890 & other street lamp emissions. Maybe i can get a transmission spectrum for this filter? Otherwise, can you recommend an ideal auroral/light pollution filter? thank you.

A: Unfortunately, for whatever reason NiSI does not list the angstroms for this filter. However, I would take their word that it is: Reduces Light Pollution in Night Sky, Blocks Yellow Sodium-Vapor Light, Blocks Yellow Mercury-Vapor Light, and Blocks Yellow Light from Low CRI LEDs. If it does not, they will lose customers.
