The MIOPS has a built-in sensor to detect when a laser beam is broken, thereby triggering your camera's shutter. This is useful for detecting subjects such as water drops, animals, or intruders when conducting surveillance.

MIOPS's built-in microphone can detect sound, triggering your camera or flash to capture things like breaking glass, or a popping balloon. You can adjust the delay of the trigger as well as the sensitivity of amount of sound needed to trigger the shutter.

This mode lets you specify the interval time anywhere between one second and one hour, as well as how many photos to take. The LCD screen will turn off to save energy, allowing you to take a timelapse photo for days, or even months if you use an external power source.

B&H will not accept it for a return so I have had to obtain an RMA form the distributor and send it there. I have since bought the MIOPS and used it for fireworks on the weekend. It was very easy to use and work exactly as I expected! Very happy with it so far...waiting for lightning now!
