The Auray WSW Series Custom Windbuster provides dual-layered wind protection and is designed to substantially reduce unwanted broadband wind noise and vocal pops with minimal high-frequency loss.

This Custom Windbuster has been tailor-made to fit the VideoMic GO and is designed to be used over its existing foam windscreen. The simulated fur outer layer works in tandem with the acoustic cloth inner lining to protect the microphone element from air bursts without muffling the sound.

When used on the VideoMic GO, this windbuster is effective in minimizing wind noise and plosive sounds. It is most effective in light to moderate breeze conditions (4 to 17 mph) and users can generally expect a 30 to 40 dB reduction in wind noise with modest dampening of high frequencies. For most applications, the modest high-frequency dampening is a worthwhile exchange for the substantial wind noise reduction. In addition to dual-layered wind protection, the Windbuster helps prevent moisture and dirt from damaging your microphone.

[0.07 lb] I had an occasion last week to do some filming in slightly breezy conditions and with the Windbuster I got the results I was hoping for. No distortion due to wind against the mic that you would normally find w/o the dead cat. Glad I purchased this item! 5

[Faux Fur] I usually keep this on my NTG anytime I'm using it on a boom or my camera. Never know when a gust of wind it going to come up. It works great, easy to put on. Just slip it over the NTG wind screen. 5

[0.07 lb] This is my second review of the Windbuster for the Rode NTG. When it came I got excited and figured that it would replace the foam wind screen that came with the Rode NTG. I was disappointed to find that by its self it does not fit the NTG at all. However, luckily my bad review prompted Auray support to reach out and correct the way I was using the product. You are supposed to use it with the Rode foam windscreen that comes with the microphone. That change made all the difference and the Windbuster works perfectly. So if you are buying this, remember to keep the Rode foam windscreen. 5

[Faux Fur] If you're looking for a deadcat to use with your Deity V3 pro shotgun mic, this is the one to get. It fits over the foam sleeve perfectly and winches in the back to stay on tight. No matter how far forward or back you've slid your mic. 5
