Q: 1. Is HDR10 going to work running through this KVM?

A: There is no indication from Aten's own documentation (website, datasheet, and user manual) that HDR10 is supported.

A: The ATEN 4x4 4K UHD HDMI Matrix Switch would not be compatible with an Elgato Streamdeck as the switch is only controllable via RS-232.

Q: 3. Thumderbolt to USB 2.0 hub on my MacBook since I use most of the other ports for power and external monitors. I need a KVM switch for KB/mouse because Universal Control stopped working for me. Will this device work if plugged into the USB 2.0 hub with a thunderbolt to USB 2.0 cable?

A: The ATEN US3310 is not designed for use with Thunderbolt ports or Thunderbolt devices, and may not work as intended in this scenario. It may be possible if connected to Thunderbolt generation 3 or higher, but the switch is designed specifically for USB 3.0/USB 3.1 and is not intended for use with a USB 2.0 host connection.

Q: 4. Is Active HDMI supported or only Passive HDMI is supported?

A: The, ATEN 8-Port True 4K HDMI Switch would support both active and passive cable connections.

Q: 5. Would this work with a USB mic between a Mac & a PC?

A: Yes, the ATEN US3342 could be used with a USB microphone, but switching will not be instant as each computer will take a moment to recognize and switch to the new audio device. You will also likely hear a popping sound through your headphones every time you switch. If applications like video games or streaming services are running when the audio device is switched, they may become unresponsive while the computer changes configuration.

A: The computer should not change the desktop as you swap between computers.

A: The XD44L does not have an HDMI interface. There are a few ways we could do this. If you found, and I'm not sure they exist, a HDMI/SFP transceiver you could use our MSC-FS44FL. [300 MHz] Unlike many KVMs, this thing actually does what it says it can. I'm running two 4K monitors at 60Hz with absolutely no stability issues between a Mac and an Ubuntu machine. Will definitely go for another ATEN box if my needs change. 5

[Push-button] Very well made, handy wired single button remote for switching between machines, plenty of power for USB devices. I'm using this switch to share my devices between my PC and Mac at my desk. I simply switch inputs on my monitor and press the super handy remote button included with this unit and all my devices are switched over. I had worried about how my audio interface would handle being switched between a Mac and a PC, but so far it has worked perfectly with my Scarlett 2i2. 5

[1 (Blue)] I had two problems to solve. I wanted to be able to switch between game consoles without turning my entire CRT around to access the S-video port in the back. I also wanted a splitter to output to a capture card for live streams. This does both those things, and it does so without any noticeable loss in quality or added latency, at least to my eyes. 5

[1 (Blue)] I have used Aten KVMs for years. Whenever I am looking for one for another purpose or to match upgraded equipment, I always end up buying another Aten. This KVM doesn't disappoint. Are you stuck working from home? Do you have a sweet home computer with multiple DisplayPort monitors? Do you want to be able to use that same setup with a work computer or laptop? If you answered yes to those questions, this is the KVM for you. I bought this for my wife so she can use her dual monitor setup with work and home computers. She love s it. I have the 4 port version for myself, since I have a couple other computers to manage. Simply put, these KVMs just work. 5
