Patterns, or gobos, are widely used by designers in theatre, film, photography and television to create atmosphere, project scenery, and generally enhance the visual impact of their lighting.

Conceived by some of the world's leading lighting designers, the Rosco range presently includes hundreds of standard steel gobo designs.

To insure design integrity the patterns are etched using a precise double-sided process on stainless steel. The result is durable, high quality patterns which will withstand the extreme heat at the gate of ellipsoidal spotlights.

Rosco steel gobos are round to allow for rotation in the gate when aligning the projected image.

The standard "B" size is suitable for most fixtures with a 6" lens when used with a Rosco Pattern Holder or the holders of other manufacturers.

Trimming of patterns, where necessary, can be easily accomplished with a pair of scissors.

A: While this particular gobo size would not work with a strobe, you can purchase the Bowens Universal Spotlite Attachment B&H # BOUSA and the size M version of the gobo, B&H# RO77139M to project the pattern on your Bowens strobe head. Please see the images below.

[Steel] I was a little worried, this was the second most expensive backdrop I have ever purchased. The other one was a 14'x10' White backdrop. When I first opened it up I was struck by two thoughts. First, the material was very nice and felt high quality, there were no creases, and was easy to hang. Second, the printing looked poor and highly pixelated. Once I got it up on my stand and took a step back I realized that the pixelated look was just because I was inches away. From even 3 to 4 feet away the pixelation disappears and then I was struck by how good the printing was. Usually, when you order a cheap 30-50 amazon special backdrop the colors are not as they are shown on the product page, but this was exactly as shown. The grommets are very well-placed and strong. I was not using a Westcott stand so I uses a clamp instead of the grommet in the middle but it worked very well. Next time I am looking for a backdrop I will check Westcott first and will probably get an X-Drop stand so I can set everything up faster. 5
