The Pancro 4x5.65" Clear Optical Flat Filteris a simple, clear filter designed for general protection for your lens. This optically clear filter does not affect the overall image quality while helping reduce dust, scratches, moisture, and other elements from damaging your lens. This filter is uncoated for greater durability when compared to multicoated filters. Its Water White-Schott Borofloat glass construction is optically pure and maintains consistent light transmission and clarity.

The glass itself is a single piece of non-laminated material that offers excellent flatness, minimal distortion, and durability.

A: It is isopropanol 67-63-0 per MSDS info that the company publishes. I also have a 32 ounce bottle of 99.9% isopropyl alcohol (67-63-0) technical grade cleaner that I bought for $8. Pancro is isopropyl alcohol. Both clean my lenses. But marketing as a professional lens cleaner makes it 20 times the cost.

A: Clear filters are recommended for digital cameras. UV filters have a slight optical effect that can soften the image slightly.

A: This does not have front threads and does not offer UV protection.

A: No, unfortunately the Rolleiflex only allows filters to be used on the shooting lens.

[0.35 lb] Bought this as a present for a friend. Took about 2 weeks to come from the manufacturer in Scotland. It arrived in perfect condition and when I opened the package and inspected the filter (prior to giving it to my friend) it looked as clear as glass to me. It appeared to have no color cast whatsoever, but I didn't actually make any camera tests with it. 5

[0.35 lb] Formatt filter are known for high quality and this one certainly is. I needed a clear filter to protect my Canon Cine Zoom at 105mm. Not many filters made that size but Formatt had one. It wouldn't matke sense to put on a cheap, low quality filter on a high end lens. Formatt was the right choice. 5
