The SLR Magic Cine 35mm T0.95 Mark II Lens for Fuji Xsupports cine-style shooting on a camera with a Fuji X mount. It features an extremely fast T0.95 to T16 aperture range, geared focus and aperture rings, and a clickless iris that allows smooth aperture pulls.

The lens follows the industry-standard focus rotation, so when working with an optional follow focus unit there is no need to make an adjustment to how you work or add a reversing gear. The lens front does not rotate as you focus the lens; this allows you to use optional accessories such as clip-on matte boxes or the SLR Magic Anamotphot 1.33x - 50 anamorphic adapter. The Mark II features stronger mechanical components than the Mark I version of the lens, allowing you to use an optional SLR Magic Anamporphot 1.33x - 50 Adapter or an optional SLR Magic Achromatic diopter without requiring an optional lens support.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. can I fit an slr anamorphic lense and rangefinder on this lense and not get vignetin?

A: Yes, as long as you use an anamorphic adapter and not a full anamorphic lens. I’m using the SLR Magic 1.33 50mm adapter on the above Cine 35 and it works great for me. I usually use a single focal length for most shots so I don’t need to swap lenses often.

Q: 2. Would this lens fit a Canon EOS 7D?

A: No, it wouldn't. This lens is made with a micro-four thirds mount.

Q: 3. The thread on this lens is 62mm which perfectly matches SLR MAGIC Anamorphic adapter. However I am curious if there would be obstruction final image when used on a Panasonic Gh4 ?

A: According to the Anamorphot Manual, which can be found at the bottom of this page, the proper focal range with an MFT sized sensor is between 20-85mm. This should work fine with the SLR Magic Anamorphot-50 1.33x.http://bit.ly/1hWG5vr

Q: 4. If its T.95 what is the actual f stop?

A: That is not listed but a good guess would be f/0.7.

Q: 5. Will this work with GH-5?

A: Yes, the SLR Magic Cine 35mm T0.95 Mark II Lens with MFT Mount is compatible with the Panasonic GH-5.

Q: 6. I have been trolling for differences between Version 1 and Version 2 (shown here) of this lens. Anyone? Cheers.

A: I can say that usually the difference between version 1, 2, 3 etc, etc with any manufacturer is some sort of improvement and 99 times out of a 100, it is the way you will want to go. My take away from the SLR website is that the mark II version has improved focusing and a more robust front section.

Q: 7. How does it perform on a full frame sensor.in terms of coverage is vigneting unacceptable if so would a center spot graduated filter help?

A: This lens will not cover a full frame sensor.

Q: 8. Will this lens also work with the SLR magic 2x anamorphot 50 adapter?

A: Yes it will. This is compatible with the SLR Magic Anamorphot-50 2.0x Anamorphic Adapter, BH #SLRA502X.

Q: 9. Do you have a filter for this lens?

A: The SLR Magic HyperPrime Cine 50mm T0.95 Lens has a 62mm filter thread. See the following link for all the 62mm filters B&H sells. The most popular types of filters are UV/Protection, Polarizer and Neutral Density.http://bhpho.to/1k1ym46

Q: 10. Is this a 10mm T2.1 like the description or a 35mm T1.4 like the photos?

A: This is a B&H web error and I have alerted the webteam so they can rectify it. If you do a search for the 10mm T2.1 HyperPrime, the first image you see is the one you would be getting.

[T16] I wasn’t sure what to expect when buying this lens but it has worked out great. I’ve been using it weekly for a couple months now and it has held up stellar. I immediately noticed the jump in quality too. My clients even noticed a difference! Worth every penny

[62 mm] I have been sizing this up for a while. It's not expensive for a lens but packs a sweet punch. Paired with my fx30 it has a great vintage look to it.

The Bokeh! No one really mentions this but the Bokeh this produces is beautiful.

Great bang for the buck and clients seem to love the look!

[FUJIFILM X] This lens packs such a punch for its price point. I've been looking for an ultra wide-angle lens for a while now, and I hadn't seen any YouTube reviews covering this specific lens so I took a leap of faith and I'm glad I did. The image circle covers my super35 sensor with no vignetting at all. Another feature I'm loving is the close focus distance. You can literally focus on objects that're almost touching the front element. Build quality-wise it is great, all metal, and feels solid. It actually feels much more premium than other lenses I have that're double or triple the price. One thing to note is that this lens has character. It acts almost like a vintage lens, so don't expect tack-sharp images with it. This isn't a huge drawback for me but it should be noted if you are a pixel peeper. The Distortion also isn't terrible from what I've found, and with a lens this wide I don't mind the distortion it does have. As a low-to-no-budget student filmmaker, I couldn't be happier to add this to my kit.

[FUJIFILM X] Expectations for image quality must be set properly given that this is a $160 lens; that being said, I think it's great for the money. Build quality is top-notch, and the aperture and focus rings are heavy and smooth (fully manual lens). There was a slight bit of wiggle between the lens and the lens mount on my XT-1.

Image quality, I think, is quite good all things considered. This is a very wide and cheap lens, and the edges suffer for it, but not in an unappealing way. Flairs are fun and warping is minimal unless you have a human face really close to the lens. Nothing will be professionally sharp with this lens, but the user experience is great.

There is a non-zero chance that the aperture ring will physically disconnect from the aperture control, leaving you unable to adjust the f-stop at all. B&H was kind enough to replace it, but just be aware that that issue is a remote possibility.

[Super35/APS-C] This lens is super cool and creates a fish eye effect. There is a black ring in the view, which I didn't expect. But regardless this is a great, creative lens to work with.

[35mm] Great character lens wide open. Excellent stopped down if you want sharper image. Great build. Excellent ergonomics. Highly recommended for its intended purpose.

[62 mm] Heavy lens, well made, with precise controls for aperture and focus. Very good looking on my PEN-F. At f0.95 (in fact f0.92 since it is a T0.95), the bokeh is superb: creamy, foggy, you cannot identify the background if your subject is within the 2 meters range. However, the image is very soft even in focus: it is pretty sharp but with a kind of halo that makes your model loves you: he or she will glow! This is mostly solved at T1.1 and completely at T1.4.
From T4.0, it becomes very sharp.
With a M43 format, this 50mm has the cover of a 100mm.
Ideal for portrait, unique if you keep your subject close, this lens allows a lot of creativity when properly used: the bokeh is somptuous, even better than my Ibelux 40mm f0.85
