The Tiffen 77mm Black Satin 3 Filter - Camera Accessoryhelps to reduce the overall contrast of an image and better control the highlights within a scene. In addition to rendering highlights with a grittier, more grainy appearance, this filter also helps to subtly soften facial blemishes and wrinkles for a natural, refined look. The 3 density provides more contrast and highlight reduction than the 2, while still producing a soft, yet natural appearance.

This filter is constructed from Water White glass and is made using ColorCore technology, a process that involves laminating the filter substrate between two pieces of optical glass, grinding flat to a tolerance of 1/10,000th of an inch, and mounting to precision metal rings.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this filter screw into a 67-82mm step up ring and can another filter be stacked/screwed into the 82mm Schneider...?

A: Yes this will screw into 67-82 step up ring and it does have front thread

Q: 2. Can the ZV-1 Mark II run for two hours at 4K 24fps in room temperature without overheating?

A: We don't have that information regarding the Sony ZV-1 II Digital Camera (Black) yet. With the ZV-1 you could run for about an hour at 4K 24 fps in room temperature when all other conditions are met.

Q: 3. How is this different from the ZV-1? Thanks.

A: The ZV2 has a wider zoom lens (18-50mm equivalent), Multi-face Recognition, animal AF tacking in the movie mode, an improved microphone, and USB-C charging,

Q: 4. Is there much difference between this filter and the Tiffen Black Pro Mist filter? The Tiffen is $70 cheaper.

A: The Schneider 77mm Hollywood Black Magic filter would have much higher quality glass and construction compared to a lower cost filter. The higher quality glass is why it has a clean glow as mentioned by another user.

Q: 5. The image you show for 4X5.65 looks like 4X4 since it is a square. Is 4X5.65 coming for sure if I order?

A: I agree that the image looks square, but I can assure you the filter we will send you is 4x5.65 I cross referenced the Mfr# with Schneider to make sure.

Q: 6. How long can I record at 4k 30 before this camera overheats?

A: If you set the Sony ZV-1 II Digital Camera to continue to record even when the temperature in the camera increases it will record for about 1 hour if the ambient temperature is 25°C (77°F). At higher or lower temperatures the amount of time you can record without overheating will change.

Q: 7. Could I have a look of the other side of this filter.I wonder what is written there.

A: On the other side of the filter it says Schneider Kreuznach and the filter size.

Q: 8. How would this compare with the Tiffen Glimmerglass?

A: The Schneider 82mm Hollywood Black Magic 1/8 Filter is the same quality and will produce the same effect as the Tiffen Black Glimmerglass Diffusion Filter.

Q: 9. Are the copywrite character overlapping with the letter ‘c’

A: No it does not look like the lettering overlaps with the copywrite character at all.

Q: 10. Is Schneider 77mm Hollywood Black Magic 1/4 Filter can fit Canon EF 50mm 1.2?

A: The Schneider 77mm Hollywood Black Magic 1/4 Filter will not fit directly fit on the Canon EF 50mm f/1.2L USM Lens (which has a 72mm filter thread) without a 72-77mm step-up ring.
