Q: 1. Can I use it in household outlets? House is 60 years old.

A: Check your circuit breakers,1,000 Watts needs a 15 amp breaker (10 amp is borderline). 20 AMP is best. Going with LED could be a better choice as they consume a fraction of the current.

Q: 2. Can it be used with a Arri 650? Any problems with the heat?

A: It will fit and you can turn it on. The heat is more than the 650 is designed to handle. Not recommended.

Q: 3. Does this come with scrim set?

A: The light does not come with a scrim kit.

Q: 4. Would this kit work for lighting a 20x20 white background or would more lights be needed to get that pure white look?

A: If you want to light the background only not the subjects you can get away with these but it would be better not to use Fresnel lights and more open lights. I would for a background that size use four lights to get it even. A kit like this, Arri 750 Plus 4 ARRILITE Kit (120V AC) , B&H # ARAL750P4K MFR # LK.0005641And then lights for the subject. Just a note these are quartz lights. The do not mix with daylight unless you gel them and they get hot.

Q: 5. What diameter should the Filter be cut to fit in the filter holders?

A: The ARRI T1 Fresnel lens is 5.9 inches. But with gels it is best to attach them to the outside of the barndoor so there is air flow. 1000 watts does get hot and will melt gels.

Q: 6. Which case does this come with? The heavy duty 4 light case doesn't seem to hold my T1s.

A: The ARRI 571197 Heavy-duty Location Case, B&H # ARCHDAL1K, is the case listed as included with the ARRI T1 Fresnel 1000W 3-Light Kit (120 VAC), B&H # ART1F3K.

Q: 8. What is the difference between the hanging mount and the stand mount version of this instrument?

A: The ARRI T1 1000W Location Fresnel with Stand Mount (120-240 VAC, Black) and Hanging mount are almost the same. The Hanging mount the yoke is set on top so it hangs correct from the ceiling. And stand mount the yoke is on the bottom so it can be positioned on a light stand.

Q: 9. does this come with a bulb?

A: No it doesnt.

Q: 10. will this bulb work with the mole richardson mickey mole?

A: Yes, the ARRI DXW Lamp (1000W/120V) works in the Mole-Richardson Mickey-Mole 1K Focusing Flood Light (120-240 VAC).

[4.55 A] Very nice Arri Kit for the price! Having a couple 150's is definitely a great addition to this kit. I think a lot of people just starting out try to avoid smaller lights which is understandable, but because this kit has 2-650's, it is very well rounded and the 150's are very useful for painting walls or flying in on C-Stands while staying out of the shot. Thankfully it has the wheeled case (rather than the nonwheeled) because that's a must. The only thing that I didn't expect is that is comes with 4 stands instead of 5 (my own fault for not reading the kit contents list) The included Super Clamp and scissor clamp I guess are the reason why but I would've much rather had the stand. Bottom line is it's the best value kit with the most fixtures and all the necessary accessories. 5

[CC-8] Given the wave of LED, which is very good, learning with a fresnel like the Arri 650 with excellent bulbs will offer the user a better understanding of CRI, understanding color with filters, exposure calculation, and its importance in understanding light dissipation. It's been years now that I've been working purely with tungsten Fresnels, and despite all the cons that are found today, I've never had better skin tones, even in sensors inferior to those of Alexa cameras. 5

[Clear] I use this lamp so much for location as interiors. After lighting the lamp, I Always give 10 minutes until it reaches his maximum temperature, and after extinguishing it, hope 10 minutes also. 5

[150 Hours] we use this lighting kit for small 1-2 person shoots either in a home or with a green screen and the work looks beautiful! the various wattages are great for backlighting, front lighting, and even accent lightin for the background. The only thing i wish is that it came with filters and not just scrims. 5
