Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. this rig works with black magic cinema camera 4k ? (Not the pocket)

A: This rig is made for the Pocket camera only.

Q: 2. Will this work directly with a Switronix battery for a BMCC without the regulator of the battery?

A: This device converts 12 to 18 volts to regulated 12 VDC and is rated for a 3-amp draw at 12 volts, which provides a safety margin to the Blackmagic Cinema Camera and Production Cameras. This unit has a regulator on it.

Q: 3. Will this Ptap also work with BM video assist monitor?

A: This is the incorrect cable if you are looking to power the BM video assit monitor. The cable you are looking for is SKU# PT12MAG, here is the link for that product: a href= https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?Ntt=pt12mag&N=0&InitialSearch=yes&sts=ma&Top+Nav-Search= target= _blank https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?Ntt=pt12mag&N=0&InitialSearch=yes&sts=ma&Top+Nav-Search=/aLet us know if you have anymore questions.

Q: 4. Will this work with Blackmagic Production 4k camera?

A: Yes, this cable is compatible with the Blackmagic Cinema Camera 4K.

Q: 5. Will it work with Blackmagic Video Assist 12G 7in. version? Planning on using this with Wooden Camera WC V-Mount (Dual D-Tap).

A: While the IndiPRO Tools 24" Power Cable, P-Tap to Blackmagic Cinema Camera would work with the Video Assist 12G, we have a better recommendation listed below with a locking connector. Kondor Blue Coiled D-Tap to Locking DC 2.5mm Right-Angle Cable (16 to 50") BH #KODCTAP25LCK

Q: 6. Will this power the Blackmagic Video Assist monitor?

A: Yes the IndiPRO Tools 24" Power Cable, P-Tap to Blackmagic Cinema Camera will also support powering the Black Magic Video Assist as well.

Q: 7. Can I use it to charge batteries?

A: This device is not a charger.

Q: 8. Will this work to power the FeelWorld FW759 monitor taking the power (plugged) from the Switronix Powerbase 70 (for the BMCC)?

A: More than likely this will not work. It is designed to power a BMD Cinema Camera specifically, not accessories for the Cinema Camera. However the FW759 has a battery plate for NP-F style batteries. You could try the IndiPRO Tools D-Tap to Sony L-Series Power Converter (B&H #INPTS74) to power the monitor with a battery that has a D-Tap port instead.

Q: 9. Will the system allow all battery power to go to one 7.2 Device... 4 batteries for their entire charge time? Or is it two batters per one of the two 7,2V outputs?

A: The IndiPRO Tools POWER POD creates a convenient power source for one or two devices. It allows you to conveniently use one or two batteries for each of those devices at a time. When using two batteries per device, the POWER POD allows hot swapping one battery at a time so you can keep working. Unfortunately, you cannot use all four batteries at once for one device.

Q: 10. how long does it power Bmpcc?

A: With two fresh batteries, you should get about 4-5 hours of run time.

[1x DC Jack] using it with the BMPCC and Ikan 160Wh v-mount battery, it seems I will be getting 3 to 4 days of non-stop shooting with this setup, unless with the monitor in which case probably a day only

[19 mm Rod Mount] I use this for my Blackmagic Cinema 4K camera and my IKAN Quick Snap Pro Battery Rail Kit with V-Mount Battery Plate for Blackmagic Cinema Camera / Production Camera. When I bought the V-mount it came with the P-Tap to BMCC adaptor but it came with an additional add on part to fit in the AC jack on my camera. I had it for a week and some how the adaptor piece broke. The v-mount plate works great and is sleek but I needed a replacement part to have it work. I found this and everything is much easier. Theres no additional plug to make this work, this is ready to use out of the box and works perfectly with the Blackmagic Camera. No headache, no issue and so far its working perfectly. Worth the money.

[1x DC Jack] The regulator (is that the right term?) gets very hot, but everything's been working fine so far.

[19 mm Rod Mount] I'll update this comment after a few months of use. Right now it's fine.

[1x DC Jack] Since the limited life of the BMPCC battery leaves much to be desired, especially when also using a Metabones Speed Booster, I searched high and low for alternatives that would keep me from having to frequently change batteries. I even considered a large V-mount battery and a d-tap cord, but having come from using Canon DSLRs, this product was the obvious choice. I already had some LP-E6 batteries, they perform really well, and they're extremely lightweight. It's easy to slide this onto my Tilta Rig for the BMPCC (or any other rig for that matter), or you can mount it directly to the camera (above or below) using a 1/4 male to 1/4 male threaded screw adapter (sold separately). And I love the fact that I can hot swap the LP-E6 batteries as long as the internal battery is in the camera.
