Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Any way to find an adapter to allow this to be powered by AC?

A: There is no known battery eliminator/AC adapter option for use with the Shure P3RA Wireless Bodypack Receiver for PSM300 System. An alternative powering solution would be found in the Shure SB900B Rechargeable Lithium-Ion Battery for Bodypack Transmitters/Receivers (BH #SHSB900B): https://bhpho.to/3JPx5sT

Q: 2. Can I use IFBT4's with this unit? They transmit at 250mW. Wondering if this can attenuate or handle that kind of power.

A: The Lectrosonics M2C accepts a maximum input of 100 mW per port, so no, they would not be recommended for use together.

Q: 3. how many microphones can connect too this ?

A: This antenna can receive signal from any number of active transmitters within range (based on the antenna's position and gain settings) that are transmitting between 470698 MHz. To clarify, this item's purpose in your wireless setup is to act as an extension of your receivers which, when properly placed and configured according to your application, can improve your transmitter(s) signal reception. However, it should be noted that your receivers are the devices that are actually connecting (or syncing) with your transmitters to interpret the captured signal of each active wireless microphone or bodypack. Thus, any limitations in number of transmitters you are able to use simultaneously would be based on the capabilities and coordination of your receivers rather than the number or type of antennas you are using.

Q: 4. Would this work with Sennheiser EW 100 G4-ME2 A Band?

A: The Shure PA805SWB Directional Antenna for PSM Systems (470-952MHz), BH # SHPA805SWB, provides additional range and reduced interference for PSM wireless systems. We cannot promise compatibility with Sennheiser systems.

Q: 5. Can you combine IEM and IFB RF signals of different output strengths? For instance I have a Lectrosonics M2T that has two output carriers of 50mw each. and a Lectrosonics T4 IFB transmitter that outputs 250mw. Can I combine them all with this to a single antenna?

A: It is possible to use transmitters with different power output levels with the RF Venue COMBINE4 - 4-Channel Antenna Combiner. This combiner is a unity device that does not affect or change the output strength of the transmitters connected. It does, however, have a maximum input level of 100mW and would not be compatible for use with a transmitter pushing 250mW such as the Lectrosonics IFBT4.

Q: 6. Do these support encryption from Axient or ULX-D transmitters?

A: No, the Shure P3RA Wireless Bodypack Receiver for PSM300 System is designed for use with the Shure P3T Transmitter. It will not receive audio or encryption from the Shure Axient or ULX-D series transmitters.

Q: 7. Can I feed one program line into this and a second one for cueing, etc?

A: Yes, the Shure P3T Wireless Transmitter for PSM300 allows for two channels of audio input as well as the ability to create a personal mix on each bodypack with adjustable stereo balance or MixMode® two-channel mono blend.

Q: 8. Is this compatible with the UA844SWB antenna distribution system?

A: Yes, the PA805SWB antenna is compatible for use with the UA844SWB antenna distribution system.

Q: 9. can i use the Shure HA-8089antenna with sennheiser g3 ew 100 (518-560) ?

A: Sennheiser recommends if you are using a Sennheiser wireless system, to use the A5000CP Passive Circulary Polarized UHF Wide-Band Antenna for Wireless Microphones and Monitor Systems (450 - 960MHz). B&H part # SEA5000CP.

Q: 10. what purpose is the power input and power output?

A: The PA411 not only distributes the RF from the antenna but also power to additional PSM transmitters. It will cut down on the amount of power suppiles needed in the rack.

[470 to 865 MHz] This antenna has solved our Shure BLX audio drop out issues. It is a bit pricey but has solved our random drop out issues which have plagued us for a while.

[BNC] Since installing this we have not had any of our wireless mice drop out. We used individual antennas before and its nice to have just the one antenna up and out of the booth and get way better performance

[BNC] I have 4 PSM300 and this works fantastic for streamlining the set up in my rack. It's not cheap solution to eliminate 3 power supplies and 3 antennas but in my case I consider it well worth it.

[50 ohms] I have 4 of these capable of delivering 4 stereo mixes or 8 mono mixes. They are well built and work exactly as they should. There are more affordable options hitting the market now, but based on my experience these are a solid value for any band wanting more control over their monitoring experience and wishing to eliminate wedges.

[BNC] I purchased this to replace an analog IEM antenna combiner that I was using on a Digital IEM platform that was having issues with dropouts and interference. The original (high-end professional) product had been recommended by another supplier, and I was skeptical that it would make any difference to replace as it was amplifying and combining the same signal. This combiner (made specifically with tuning to support Digital IEM's) instantly fixed all of the issues I had been chasing for months. The IEM's are now solid from hundreds of yards away, and no dropouts. This thing has saved my productions.

[BNC] Our venue usually runs 4-5 IEM systems and 10 wireless microphone per set. Finding enough RF space in our coordination was next to impossible without intermods. The install was super easy, and we've had zero dropouts or noticeable Intermodulation distortion since the install. Two thumbs way up!
