[Yes] I have used this Waves De-Esser software way back before 2010 in my Windows XP PC but lost it due to PC failure. The new Waves Sibilance Vocal De-Easier is easier to use because I just turn the Threshold dial to the desired setting and leave the default Detection and Mode settings to 50%. I must say the plug-in removes the essss sound of the vocals much better than the first Waves De-Esser I had used. When I process digital copies of my rare vinyl LP records and saved soundtracks from my DVD collection, the plug-in can only work without combining other VST plug-ins. This plug-in works only on a 64-bit compatible DAW software like Audacity 3.4.2 running under Win10/MacOS Operating system. Audacity 3.4.2 automatically detects the WAVES De-Esser plugin after installation. Audacity can only use VST and VST3 plug-in types. The 2 uploaded images depict how the WAVES Sibilance De-Esser plug-in is used in Audacity 3.4.2.

[Yes] Currently I have 4 of the older models (DS-2DE3304W-DE), and this newer one is much better than those. Besides the slightly higher 4mp over the old 3mp, the night vision is far superior. I always use Color at night on all the cameras, and use Slow Shutter to lighten the scene, and I was surprised at how bright the Auto Slow Shutter was on this new model - it's perfect for my needs. I put it on a Scheduled Switch, Outdoors during the daytime with tweaked Image Adjustments (no slow shutter), and at night I have the Day/Night switch on Day, Indoors, with tweaks to the image along with the Auto Slow Shutter 2.

Another nice surprise was my 2017 iMac on Monterey using Firefox v103 was able to see the picture/video in the browser without installing any addons or web components (which don't work on the older models for Safari or Firefox, but do on Internet Explorer when using Parallels Desktop with Windows 10). The firmware which came with my new 3404 is V5.7.2 build 211009.

I'd love to replace all my older cameras with this one but that's a big chunk of change (lol). Anyway, none of my cameras are outside, they're all sitting on the windowsill looking through glass, so for folks who install outdoors will probably have even better results than me.

[Download] Since I got my recent computer in 2013, I've been trying to get an output to my TV using the normal composite output, which the video card sadly doesn't have. (Although S-Video is an option for my TV as well, it sometimes doesn't detect it properly.) After having tried 3 other VGA to composite scan converters, I thought I would try this Gefen scaler and use the HDMI output on my video card. And it seems I made the right choice at last! While the previous scan converters suffered with a somewhat stuttery PAL output, the Gefen scaler isn't really all that bad at it. It is a little bit stuttery here and there, but nothing to get in a fuss about. When I watched a TV show using it, it wasn't noticeable at all. The image quality is pretty fine, and like it promised, it gives you a choice of resolutions. You'd probably want to stick to about 1024 768 pixels to read stuff from your computer, or otherwise it gets too tiny for your television. I tried both the S-Video and composite outputs, and they were both very good. I also tried it with my XBOX 360, and it worked fine with that too. The underscan setting is just right for my TV, if you want to get the whole image on your screen without anything cropped. It was nice to see that the power supply works from 100 to 240 V, and it also came with a set of Australian style pins, which I was happy to use! (It also had USA, British and possibly European ones too.) The metal case seems rugged and the screw in style HDMI plug is a good idea to keep it from being pulled out. All in all, it seems very well made, and it looks pretty nice as well.

[1 User] I've not had any issues with this product - it does its job well with no fuss. It's also very well made, including the connectors. I was unsure if it would totally strip the audio from the SDI feed (so that there was no audio on the looped output) but this is not the case. The output is 'untouched' and includes audio.

[Yes] Use it on almost every vocal take it can be very subtle and effective, the only downside is that you need an ilok key, and if you are only using that plug it cost more then the de-esser.

[1 User] We are a Public Access station only able to broadcast in standard def. With live HD feeds coming in live other devices claimed but didn't produce the letterbox format we needed. Only issue is once you get the device and you want letterbox, you have to go to the Gefen site and download the fix for this requirement. Gefen should tell clients upfront.

[Download] Purchased it for voiceover work. I run it multiple times in DAW. One for 2.5khz and another for 4.8khz to reduce sibilance. It keeps the sound transparent while achieving its job. A great tool.
