The Rokinon 12mm f/2.8 Fisheye Lens for Canon EFprovides a 180° diagonal angle of view on full-frame cameras for an ultra-wide angle, distorted perspective that is useful for architectural interiors, landscapes and creative experimentation in any photographic application. The f/2.8 maximum aperture is effective in low light situations and enables some measure of shallow depth of field control.

The lens' sophisticated optical design consists of 12 lens elements arranged in 8 groups including three elements made of low dispersion ED glass and two aspherical lens elements to minimize coma and chromatic aberrations. Highly effective nanocrystal anti-reflection (NCS) coating applied together with UMC coatings improve light transmission and reduce ghosting. Its internal focus system enables its compact design and keeps the front element from extending during focus.

As a manual focus, manual aperture lens, it offers a wide, easy to grip focus ring and bright aperture, distance and depth of field markings. A removable petal-shaped lens hood is included.

[f/22] Great lens especially for the price! Images come out sharp with good contrast and color. I am using it with a Sony A7RIII. The distortion is reasonable considering it's a 12mm. Most of the distortion is on the very edge of the frame. I highly recommend this lens!

[Canon EF] Great lens for giving a different, twisted perspective on the world. Very compact and lightweight, excellent optics, sharp images.
Would definitely recommend this lens for anyone who wants to play around with a fish-eye lens

[Manual Focus] I needed an ultrawide lens, this Rokinon 12mm f/2.8 was on sale, and so I went for it. I'm glad I did. The lens is manual, but at f/5.6, f/8 and the lens' focus set at or near infinity distance-wise, everything's in focus and the results are excellent. In most situations autofocus isn't needed - maybe AF might be at 2.8 with a close subject, but by the same token, this isn't the type of lens that's geared toward "bokeh" type shooting. And in any event, it's easy to focus manually, especially with my A7RII using focus peaking. This is an excellent lens to be creative with.

[Full-Frame] I bought this lens mainly to cover larger areas of the night sky when shooting meteor showers or the ISS. I was somewhat reluctant to go with a something other than my camera's brand--Nikon--but this Rokinon had a feature I liked: while it covers 180 degrees horizontally, it does NOT make a circular image. No black corners in the images, even on my D850 body. After using this lens for night sky photos, I used it to shoot some indoor construction pictures in tight locations, and found it to be perfect for that use. Image quality is good to excellent, and lack of AF isn't an issue with a 12 mm lens due to the huge depth of field.
In choosing to buy this lens, I relied on other reviews and on the fact that I knew if it turned out to be a dud, B&H would take it back. Turned out the positive reviews were right on, and I'm totally satisfied with this lens. And at $400, it was a great deal!

[7] Had it only a few weeks and, in large part becasue it is manual, I am loving it. Working great for clean and crisp architecture, landscape and indoor shots. Lightroom Lens Correction and Tranform tools add to the possibilities with their respective adjustments. I'm looking forward to the fun learning what more I can do with it.

[f/2.8] This is a fun lens to work with. It is NOT autofocus, but it's very easy to use. Just be careful not to get your feet or fingers into the field-of-view. I can stand almost right next to a tall tree or structure and still get it all in the picture. the lens feels solid, the shots (so far) are very crisp. I love this lens.

[f/2.8] This lens came recommended to me by a professional photographer. The optics were advertised as superb and the images of the photos just excellent. The lens has lived up to the hype that was sent my way. Although it is a manual lens, with a fisheye it doesn't make much difference since it is not often used for action shots where quickness of settings is needed. I love it. Up close to objects you can get creative with all the curving and distortion. At a bit of a distance, things straighten out and you get a huge vista onto the screen. Super lens. Super p[rice.
