Its stereo 1/8" male input is on a permanently attached cable, assuring that you won't have to go searching for a 1/8" cable to use the Ispod2HW. A selectable ground lift, pad, and stereo/mono switch provide further control.

A: The ART Direct X is not designed for microphone input and will not provide phantom power.

A: The Rolls HR187 Stereo Professional Bluetooth Direct Box currently uses Bluetooth version 4.2 with Radome Technology.

Q: 6. Does this version send a beep through the audio output when it's in pairing mode/when it loses signal with the device? The first version did, hoping this one solved that.

A: No, the Radial Engineering BT-PRO V2 Stereo Bluetooth Direct Box does not send any beep or chime sounds through the audio output when it is in pairing mode or if it loses Bluetooth signal with the device it is connected to.

Q: 7. Can the RCA and 1/4 inputs be used at the same time? If so are the signals mixed together for xlr outputs?

A: Technically yes, you could use those two inputs at the same time. However, the audio coming out of the XLR's would be mixed together, and potential phase cancellation could occur from combing audio sources in such a manner.

Q: 8. Would this be what I need to bridge the gap between a standalone DAC (with RCA outputs) and JBL 305 powered monitors?

A: No, the product is not designed to work in reverse.

Q: 10. I see that it comes with a dc adapter. Does it also run on batteries?

A: No battery power is available or recommended.

[0.75 lb] I find the Whirlwind Direct2 to be a good direct box. I particularly like the Pad and Ground-lift buttons which give me greater functionality. 5

[0.75 lb] It's a great little Di box, especially for the price. I recently had to mix a band and i used the three that i purchase here in B&H one to connect the bass guitar, an other one to connect rhythm guitar and the last one to connect a six strings guitar. All of them worked perfectly, the sound to my mixing board was super clear. I strongly recommend to any sound engineer. 5

[0.75 lb] I've been using many of these Whirlwind IMP 2 direct boxes for the last 15yr+ and have yet to have one break down on me. It's built like a tank, gives off a clean signal and takes care of most grounding problems. Great purchase. 5

[0.75 lb] I bought this direct box to replace an older whirlwind box we had thinking that the box was bad. It turns out that the box was ok and now I have a backup. It turns out to be a bad output on the bass players amp. Solution, put bass directly into direct box and feed both mixer and bass amp from the direct box. Everyone is happy! 5

[0.75 lb] Great DI. Works as well as my Radial at half(ish) the price. Lightweight, compact, nice flat bottom perfect for attaching to pedal board if need be. Whisper quiet. Was hoping for the metal jack as shown in the picture, but the plastic jack seems sturdy enough. 5
