This will perform similarly to other Rokinon manual lenses, but what makes it designed for video is the focusing gears for use with a follow focus system. If you're using this for photos keep in mind those gears may be uncomfortable to focus with your hand. Another difference is the de-clicked aperture ring that is measured in T-stops instead of F-Stops. No clicks means a smooth change of light coming in so exposure changes don't look choppy in video. T stops are an actual measurement of light that comes through the lens, whereas F stops are ratios and an f/1.4 may let more or less light in from lens to lens.
