A: Now, it won't. This is a USB-3 connection that works on the 5D-4 and 7D-2. It will not fit the 5D-3 or original 7D.

[15.4' / 4.7 m] This cable permits me to use the Canon software to control the Canon camera form inside my car. It does not matter how cold or how many insects are flying about. I have complete control of the caners jut not the zoom feature of the lens, but all exposure, aperture and many other camera feature, including interferometer. Image is then displayed right on my laptop screen from the comfort of my car. Great for night star pictures of prolonged photography situations. Full recommend this product. All camera equipment bodies and lenses are Canon equipment 5

[USB 3.0] Attached to camera and Lap top and it functions very well. Next comes the field test which is on hold for a week, then off to the woods and mountians for the big test of which I am sure it will perform well. 5
