Connect your EOS 7D Mark II DSLR Camera to the WFT-E7A Wireless Transmitter with this Canon IFC-40AB II USB Cable for WFT-E7A Transmitterfrom Canon. Version 1 of the transmitter must be upgraded to firmware ver. 1.1.0 or later in order to be compatible. The cable is included with the transmitter and offered here as a spare or replacement part.

A: The Wireless LAN range is approximately 495 ft and the Bluetooth range is approximately 32.8 ft.

A: Yes. The version 2 adds the USB 3 cable to connect to the 5DS R. The 5DS R supports it and the WFT-E7A is configured and controlled through one of the the cameras menus that becomes active when the WFT-E7A is connected and powered on. Dont forget that the WFT-E7A requires a LP-E6N battery (same as the 5DS R) that is not included.

Q: 3. Can this transmit a live image from the C500mk2 to a computer for live streaming? Say to Zoom or OBS

A: No sadly this would only be for transferring photos and videos files over to someone instantaneously. To do basically a live stream from one of these to a program such as OBS or Zoom. You would need a device that does Live HDMI transmission.

Q: 4. How long is this cable...?

A: I am traveling now and don't have a measuring tape, but had the cord with me. I estimate that it is 4 1/2 feet. Hope this helps.

A: Yes. I bought it for my 5d Mk IV and it works perfectly.

A: A this time, the no longer available Canon WFT-E7A (V1) is listed as being for the 5D Mark III and the Canon WFT-E7A (V2) is just for the 7D Mark II. No word as to the 5D Mark IV. However, since Wi-Fi and NFC is included in the 5D Mark IV, it is unlikely that any version of the WFT-E7A is needed.

Q: 8. Will this cable work with the Canon 200D (SL2) camera?

[0.5 oz / 14.2 g] Ordered the EU-V1 spend 30 hours trying to get it to work. Gave up got the wireless . Plugged it worked right away. So far only tested remote browser . But it's fantastic. The unit feels solid well made. And is not slippery in my hand.s. 5

[0.5 oz / 14.2 g] My oh my! Wow oh wow! I use my iPhone 6s Plus with Camera Connect by Canon and this transmitter takes shooting to a whole new level! Setting up was so fast. I got it set up under 30 seconds through the ‘easy set-up’ on the app. The live view is truly live and moves smoothly through the phone. Setting up ISO, SS, and Aperture is so much easier and fast through the phone and you can see much more detail and get different perspectives on what your shot will look like. Now let’s get to the transfer. It does what it’s made to do at such lighting speed I became excited owning this camera all over again. It transmits raws and mp4 videos within seconds into your phone and if you like editing on your phone, you get the full quality straight away without having to transfer to your computer and into your phone. This changed everything to me. Remote shooting opens up a whole new level of freedom with this camera. 5
