Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this work with a Sony FS5?

A: The Tilta Battery Plate for Sony FX6 (V-Mount) is not compatible with the Sony FS5.

Q: 2. How small can the jaws go? Looking for something to clamp a camera onto a 1/2" pole.

A: The Marshall Electronics Pole Clamp with Adjustable Camera Mount can clamp down to a 1/4 of an inch.

Q: 3. When the V-mount battery goes low, does the camera's LCD screen give a warning?

A: No, the Tilta Battery Plate does not provide battery status communication to the LCD of the camera.

Q: 4. Can this clamp mount a camera horizontally in typical shooting position on a vertical pole type stand?

A: Yes, that is possible with a lighter load.

Q: 5. Can I power the plate and camera without a battery via the 2pin Lemon to AC power?

A: The 2-Pin LEMO connection on the Tilta Battery Plate for Sony FX6 (V-Mount) is designed only for output and not input. The plate would need a battery in order to supply power to the camera.

Q: 6. Could this reliability attach a small camcorder (Canon VIXIA HF R800) to a 32" workstation display (having a 1/3" top bezel)?

A: No, it is designed for a camera with a much smaller form factor and it will not reliably support the HF R800.

Q: 7. will it work with sony pmw ex3 xdcam?

A: Yes it will.

Q: 8. Does the D-Tap provide enough output to power an Atomos Shinobi 7" ext monitor?

A: Yes. Likely one of the easiest and most versatile methods would be to use a D-tap to NP-F dummy battery.

Q: 9. Hi there. Are the d-taps 'live' whilst the camera is turned off? For example if I have a viewfinder attached to the D-Tap, and I turn the camera off, will the VF still run the battery dead? Or if the camera is switched off, are the ports 'dead' as well? Cheers

A: the power outs (D-taps) are independent of the camera and will always be on as long as there is a battery on the plate.

Q: 10. Dose it regulates the voltage for fx6 ? 19.5v constant when mounted with a v-mount battery ?

A: Yes, as this device is specifically designed for powering the Sony FX6, it is outputting the appropriately regulated voltage.

[0.105 lb] Snaps right in and gives me power to my FX6 from a Core 98 for over 5 hours. I do mostly interviews, so I feel comfortable using it without screwing it in to a top plate. This gives me the option to quickly switch to bp batts for when the camera needs to be small. I would probably screw it in for run and gun stuff

[0.105 lb] I've been using the CAME TV Mini V Mounts for a couple of years now and they have been rock solid. Pretty good for a Chinese brand I had never heard of.

I mounted the CAME TV V Mount plate on my new FX6 and have shot with it half a dozen times now, it's been flawless. O use the Sprig cable management loops to contain the various VF, monitor and SDI feeds from my FX6 to on-board monitor, wireless transmitter and I used the 1/4 20s to mount the wireless transmitter.

The best part is I can still run the stock battery to keep rolling when I do battery changes with the V Mounts, genius! Machining on the plate is top notch, it stays where I lock it into place as far as the tilt angle.

Compared to the few other plates that will allow you to use a V mount and the stock battery, this CAME TV plate is by far the best value, some of the others cost more than double the money and aren't really much, if at all better.

I highly recommend this plate AND the CAME TV Mini V Mount batteries, great, economical, high value combo.

[Plastic] If you mess with it after first adding it to the camera's battery mount, it is easy to think, well this isn't very sturdy but after several months of...tough love...this piece is still solid as ever and hasn't let me down yet.

[3.9 x 3.05 x 1"] no issues whatsoever. have this and the top plate on my fx6 and it's a perfect combo. doesnt overheat, the ports are solid, and with good vmount batteries you'll be shooting all day without incident. I get several hours out of 1 battery while shooting on my fx6 with audio and using a ninja v.

[3.9 x 3.05 x 1"] Works as described. Very light weigh. Built great.

[3.9 x 3.05 x 1"] Very low profile which is nice for the FX6 but honestly it's probably overkill since the standard Sony BPU batteries last so long.

[0.105 lb] I have no problems with the design, and it has one huge advantage: with the battery in you can press the camera to your chest for handheld work.

[3.9 x 3.05 x 1"] I used this with an micro clamp to mount my VF monitor on an FS-7. It has a wider range of motion than the original mount. The monitor can be turned parallel to the camera as well.
