This is a pair of carbon fiber Bright Tangerine Side Flags for Viv and Misfit Matte Boxesfor the Bright Tangerine Viv and Misfit matte boxes. Each flag features a variable side wing allowing you to adjust the height of the side flag to match how your top and bottom flags are set. The side flags incorporate a lightweight aluminum axel that attaches to your matte box and acts as a pivot for the side wing. When you remove the side flags, the weight of the axle stays with the side flag and not with the matte box.

A: If you are looking to use a 138mm round filter then you would need to use the larger 143mm back Misfit B1230.0016 or B1230.0017.The 138mm filter would fit into one of these products B1250.1001 or B1250.1076 and then be used in the 143mm.Please note that you would need to mount this on rails

A: This kit from Bright Tangerine comes with a 114-95mm adapter ring, which you would use in conjunction with the 143-114 donut-thread attachment :)

A: As long as your Atom has the 143mm Clamp Lens Attachment, that's all that's needed.

Q: 10. Does the adapter expand or should I say stretch to fit larger lenses, starting at 58mm, stretching to 143mm?

A: Bright Tangerine only lists this as being able to fit 58mm at the rear. That being said it may stretch a little but looking at the design, I would have to say expansion to 143mm is not at all possible.

[0.41 lb] Surprised by how light weight it is. Really good build quality and clever tray design. The thumb screws to extend the unit for additional filters gets loose sometimes so just have to tighten it every now and then. 5

[0.41 lb] This is my goto matte box. I own Bright Tangerine's Misfit Atom as well, but I use that for smaller rigs, MoVI, etc. The Viv is absolutely essential. It's a rock solid design, lightweight and I don't have to worry about the clamp-on rings scratching my primes. I've used the Arri MMB-2 many times, but prefer the Viv due to it's quality and how light it is. 5

[0.41 lb] A bit expensive but you get what you paid for. Lightweight matte box. The filter trays are secure, with no problems with filter trays dropping. They're also easy to tighten down as well. Used this many times on set and will continue to. 5

[0.41 lb] Must have for the Bright Tangerine Pola matte box kit if you are not clamping directly to front of lens. I use with my stills glass on my RED Gemini and the design of the entire Matte box system and it’s accessories is amazing. 5

[0.41 lb] Bought this to compliment my Leica R 35mm summicron in my Red Scarlet-W. This thing couldn’t be built or designed any better. The rubber “black hole” is a perfect choice if you’re going to be using vintage lenses. Make sure you have some sort of step up ring if your lens has a diameter smaller than 60mm or light will leak. I probably wouldn’t use it with lenses with a diameter larger than 82mm since it’s made of a thin rubber material and it might rip or stretch out too much. Looks miles better than baggy cloth though... The reason I went with the misfit is because I know that if I change lenses or if a client wants to work with other lenses, I can easily buy the other configurations to accommodate whatever I end up using. I know this is more expensive than most matte boxes but it’s worth it since this is the only matte box you will ever need. 5
