[10.5 lb] I am no longer a musician, not having picked up my instrument in almost 40 years. I’m a writer, and I write from my recliner. I always have materials I need to refer to, and it was tiresome to keep picking up papers to refer to, or trying to use the lap dog to prop papers on. I got the idea that having a music stand next to my recliner might be ideal, and it has been wonderful. The Hamilton stand is perfect for me...it’s not flimsy enough to be knocked over, it’s sturdy and solid with a solid tray instead of the accordion-style. I can affix my papers to it with magnets if needed, and it’s strong enough to hold my laptop when I’m not writing. In short, it’s perfect for me!

[10.5 lb] I love this stand. It is sturdy and stable. Light bumps will not knock it over. No problem with the stand sliding down when I pile on the books. It was a snap to put together once I got out the tool kit (you will need a metric socket wrench and a flat-head screwdriver). I am very happy with the stand.

[10.5 lb] I had one of these for years and somehow lost it. I first bought the heavy duty K&M stand which is great too but much bulkier. I still had my case from the other one like this and so glad to find another at a good price. This is a very sturdy compact stand. I teach guitar and travel and sing and this is the best. I've ordered others but they just aren't comparable. Just make sure you follow the directions to disassemble and you'll be fine. Don't hesitate to purchase this stand. It will hold a good size notebook.

[10.5 lb] At first I gave it 4, but upgraded to 5. Closing the portion of the bag that holds the bottom of the stand is a little tight, so you need a little patience and time. Yesterday after the concert it seemed like it just wouldnt zip shut. But was just able to do it now. Also, I just noticed a velcro pouch on one side of the bag which is gr8 if you want to put pencils for marking up music or whatever!!! B & H expedited shipping so quickly it was amazing. Free and I think it was here in a day! Thank you.
