Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this work with 5D mk IV?

A: I use this on my 5DmII and it works well. Since the hotshoe configuration is unchanged thru the 5D series, I am sure it works on the mIV. I use the controller on the camera and two transmitter/receivers on OCFs (speedlights). Just FYI, you can also use the camera's menu to control the flashes (ratios, etc.) and not even need the controller... just connect a transmitter/receiver on your camera's hotshoe.

Q: 2. Will these work with canon 6D mark II ?

A: Absolutely

Q: 3. will the YN-622C-TX be able to control the power levels of YN560 III lights? I Know that it won't do total or HSsync, but can I control the 560s like I do with my 560-TX controller? higher model controllers won't work with lower level lights?

A: I have the YN-622C-TX connected to a canon 7D controling two canon speedlight 580 II both with YN622C attached. With this configuration I can control power of both flashes.

Q: 4. Is the Yongnuo YN-622C-TX E-TTL II compatible with the Canon 580EX first version?

A: I have only have the 580 ex II and the 600. So I can't answer, other than to say the only problem I've had is not with the flashes, but with the camera body (5D MkIV)

Q: 5. I have a Canon 5D Mark III and 2 @ Canon 580EX (Version 1), a Canon 550EX and a Sekonic L-358. Currently I have been using separate triggers for Manual Flash (Quantum FreeXwire FW9T and FW8Rs) and for TTL Flash (Radio Poppers-not the Jr.). I don't like the little buttons on the Radio Poppers for TTL and am looking at the Yongnuo triggers. For TTL, can I use the Yongnuo triggers without any other adjustment? For Manual, can I use the Yongnuo triggers and still be able to adjust the slave speedlite power settings by walking to the speedlite and physically increasing or decreasing the power (or is this done at the camera)? Thanks.Marc

A: For TTL, you do not need to make any adjustments but you can if you want to. For Manual, you can walk to the triggers but it is easier to it directly from the transmitter. You can also select certain flashes to operate TTL and others Manual. These are some of the easiest and best triggers I have used. I am a lifestyle wedding photographer and there often isn't a lot of time to set up studio lights so this allows me to use speed lights and dial my exposure quickly.

Q: 6. I have 3 yn560iV will this controler give me the same amount of control as I have with my yn 569 tx trigger?

A: In order to control the YN560 IV flashes with the YN 622C TX, you must have a YN 622C II transceiver, B&H # YOYN622CII on each of your flashes in order to obtain the same level of control. An image for the transceivers is shown below.

Q: 7. I have a Yongnuo YN-622C E-TTL Wireless Flash Transceiver for Canon, not the mk ii version. Will this work with that unit?

A: yes, it will. It works with my Canon 60D as well as my Mark III

Q: 8. Will these work with alien bee strobes?

A: The YN-622C-TX E-TTL is not compatible with Alien Bee strobes.

Q: 9. Can a Yongnuo YN-622c TX mounted on a film camera (Mamiya 645 or Fuji GW690 or 4x5 field camera) remotely fire non-Canon speedlight flash (Nikon SB24 or Metz) mounted on a YN-622c II ? If yes, what kind of control would I have on the flash power?. I plan to buy the Yongnuo for my Canon 6D and 430EXII, but I want a radio system that works with both my film and digital cameras.

A: Being that both the Mamiya 645 and the Fuji GW690 both have a center firing pin for flashes on their respective hot shoes, this could possibly allow the YN 622C TX to fire flashes off camera. With regards to a 4 x 5 field camera, the connection would be done through the PC terminal on the lens being used and the PC terminal on the YN 622C TX along with a PC male to PC male cable, such as B&H # PAPCMPCM5. The control of the flashes would definitely be limited to manual only as there are no proprietary connections between the transmitter, those cameras, and the Nikon or Metz flashes. While this transmitter is listed as compatible with current Canon DSLRs, your results may vary when using it with a medium format or large format cameras.

Q: 10. Its compatibility Yn 622c Tx with flash Yn568 II, Could I control the parameters of the flash without any other accessory?if they are not compatible, is there any driver who is?

A: To use the YN-622C-TX E-TTL wireless flash controller transmitter to control the YN568 II flash you will need to utilize a YN622C flash controller. The YN568 II flash can not be controlled directly by the YN-622C-TX. I am waiting for Yongnuo to make a flash that works directly with their YN-622C-TX.

[Hot Foot] Works out of the box from my Nikon D5 to control a YN-622 transceiver with Metz 58 AF-2 flash. I have not tested it yet with my Nikon F6. Very cost effective than PocketWizard MiniTT1.

[0.4 lb] Works perfectly to trigger the YN685 speedlite— which needs no separate transceiver. If you have this and the YN685, you’re all set for remotely triggering.

[7] I'm really happy with my TTL Wireless Flash Controller and YN622Cll TTL transceivers. Finally I can trigger my Canon flashes and control the power with the controller.
A major reason for getting this product was positive reviews on YouTube.

[2x AA] Bought this as a replacement for the one that I accidentally dropped. Guess it's a pretty good recommendation when you buy the same one again.
