This 1/4"-20 Screw from Oben is a spare or replacement part for any of their RP quick-release plates except the RP5. It can also be used with any of the Induro PH and PU series plates or Manfrotto 200PL plates. The screw can be tightened or loosened by using a 4mm hex key, a coin/screwdriver, or the D-ring.

A: Yes it does. Additional info: Depending on how thick your quick release plate is...the non threaded portion may not be long enough to leave threads exposed to screw into your camera base

A: The length of the threaded portion of the Oben 1/4"-20 Screw with D-Ring for RP Plates is 7.1mm, whereas the length of the unthreaded portion is 4.3mm.

Q: 4. What is the difference between this RPS-14D (for RP plates) and the QRS-14D (for QR plates)?

A: The RPS-14D has a slightly longer unthreaded portion of the stem to allow use on thicker mounting plates. PJ

Q: 5. I have a MEFoto tripod which uses an INDURO PU 50 Swiss Arca plate. Can I remove the current screw and replace with this D screw without damage to the plate or the camera?

A: I have done that with two plates. Works great. Screw easily removed and new one easily installed. Beats the heck out of that flat head screw. Mefoto should have used the D screw to begin with.

Q: 6. Hi! I would be deeply grateful if anyone knew if this screw could be used with the Manfrotto 504PLONG plate and not interfere? I notice there is this version, and one that is shorter, but I don't want my cameras hanging on by a single thread...

A: Hi, I bought this D-ring about six months ago thinking I would be able to switch between plates and move my camera from my tripod to my gimbal quickly. Unfortunately the head on this D-ring was to thick and wouldn't give me enough clearance between the plate and the tripod head. This was just my experience with this product. Maybe you'll have better luck. I was also using the 504 long.

Q: 7. Can someone measure the width of the d-ring for me? I need something to replace the coin screw on my Vanguard QS-39 plate and it is a tight space. Thanks.

A: The ring is about 1/2".

Q: 8. Can I use this with the OBEN QR 10 plate?

A: Don't know since I don't have the OBEN QR plate. It fits on an old Manfroto plate, but not on the Markins plates I currently use. Sorry I couldn't help.

Q: 9. Is there a longer version of this screw? I have a camera with recessed threads, and this screw (that came with my tripod) doesn't reach them.

A: This is a longer screw but if it is too long the camera might not fit well.

Q: 10. I wish to purchase a Sirui G-10X Ball Head and replace the screw with this one. Do I use this one or the QR version?

A: First, this is a very professional and high quality! The D ring is also a great plus. I replaced all my plates with this and other better quality screws. The screws that come along the plates are so cheap.

[0.2 oz (5.7 g)] I had been looking for this item on the web for some time but was unable to find it. As it was not for use with a camera but on a bracket for an antenna, I thought of going to B&H to see if they had it in stock! The lady who was at customer services was extremly customer friendly and took the time to find the part I needed. Upon delivery I was delighted that everthing fitted together and my project is now complete. Well done B&H 5

[2 x 1 x 0.5"] after years of scrambling to find an Allen wrench to tighted the screws on my ACRA plates to connect to a tripod, monopod, etc., the D ring based screw is a huge relief. the D ring fits nicely inside the plate so no interference or problem fitting on the tripod ball, etc. annoying to spend $5 for a screw, though. BandH should include the d ring screw with each ACRA plate it sells. 5

[4 mm hex] I use this for keeping my flash secured to a flash bracket. Using this I don't have to worry about having a coin to tighten it up or looking for my glasses to make sure I get the coin lined up correctly with the slot on the screw. I love this things! 5
