Suitable for use with most DSLRs as well as larger cameras, the Genustech Gen X Camera Base Plate Packageis an adjustable base plate with sliding QR camera plate and 15mm LWS rods. The sliding plate is Arca Swiss compatible and features over 7.8" of front to back travel with a removable camera locating pin. It comes with both a 1/4"-20 and a 3/8"-16 camera tie-down screw. The base plate QR mechanism features a safety lock that helps prevent the sliding camera plate from being accidentally released.

The base plate comes with four removable riser posts that allow you to adjust the height in two positions. Adding the riser posts adds just over eight tenths of an inch of height to your base plate; this adjustment is secure and stable without using a locking lever, which may be jarred loose. The included front rod bracket features over two inches of height adjustment using a single 1/4" screw. This adjustment combined with the riser post allows you to maintain the industry standard rod to lens height using a variety of optional cameras. The base plate's locking levers are spring-loaded, allowing you to loosen or tighten them even if you can't rotate the levers through a full 360°. Included with the baseplate is a pair of eight-inch-long 15mm rods.

The base plate includes a Swiss Arca compatible camera plate with removable locating pin, 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 camera tie-down screws, and almost eight inches of forward to back adjustment for balancing your camera

The QR release is protected from accidently being opened by a locking lever that physically engages the QR lever.

The removable front rod support bracket features approximately two inches of adjustment.

A: No unless you use a third party arca swiss adapter/receiver on top.

A: Hello, I don't know if you received an answer yet... But the reported weight of the ag-ac90 is 3.3-3.9 lbs. According to genus tech the max camera Weight is 9.36 lbs.

Q: 9. I dont get it...what is the difference between package 1 and 2 except the price??

A: The Gen X camera baseplate comes in to two packages to suite specific camera professionals requirements. Gen X Plate Camera Base Plate Package 1 contains one 15mm Rod Bracket Adaptor, while Genustech Gen X Plate Camera Base Plate Package 2 is available with the full set of two Rod Bracket Adaptors.

Q: 10. Will this work with the Sony Fx3?

[Universal] This jib works great with my GH4. It's super smooth and very easy to use. The markings on the weight arm are very handy and I'm able to get really nice camera moves, some of which I had never even thought about. Very valuable piece of equipment. 5

[Universal] The BXT2 base plate fits my Fuji XT2 perfectly. It has a magnetic slot to hold the Hex Key which is nice because you don't need to worry about keeping track of the Hex Key. It slides easily into the tripod, and has an additional screw mount for an older model tripod. There is a slot for easy battery access. There is no need to remove the base with general use. It looks very nice and balances the camera larger lenses such as the 18-135 and the 56 mm, and compliments it with smaller lenses like the 27 mm. It doesn't add uncomfortable weight to the camera. I am happy with the plate. And for those proud Americans - it's made in the USA. 5

[Universal] I understand the first version of this plate was a bust. It blocked the battery door. Not so this version (B). Adds 1/2 depth to the grip, making it somewhat more comfortable, while adding the Arca-Swiss compatibility. 5

[Universal] I called B&H for help on this item. I needed a quick release with two pins, because one pin alone, would cause my 8x10 camera to wobble. I needed pins to be 8cm apart, and the sales pro searched for on in my price range. I'm impressed that the salesman to time to locate a quick release that fit my specifications, even though it was a small purchase. 5

[Universal] It is hard to find a shoulder mount that is comfortable and able to handle the quick moving I do when I shoot. With this package I was able to act and move like I normally would and provided me with a steady shoot all the way through. 5

[2.3 lb] RRS charges a premium and delivers. �I was financially tapped out with the purchase of my XT2 and nearly purchased the Kirk L bracket but in the end went for the RRS as the bracket covers the entire bottom of the camera. �No regrets, RRS makes the best. �They're the most well thought out products in their realm on the market. 5
