The six foot Kopul Y-Cable 1/8" TRS to 2 XLR Male 6'from Kopul Y-Cable 1/8" TRS to 2 XLR Male 6'is a sturdy and reliable Y-cable that sends a stereo signal from a 1/8" (3.5 mm) output to two XLR male connectors without any signal loss. The cable allows for a variety of cabling options including connecting the output of a portable audio device, personal music player, or computer to a mixer or other device that has XLR inputs.

The gold-plated 1/8" (3.5 mm) stereo mini plug and nickel-plated XLR connectors with silver-plated contacts assure the transfer of the audio signal without any degradation. Oxygen-free copper spiral shielding provides enhanced protection from interference while maintaining flexibility.

To provide strain relief to the 1/8" connector, the in-line molded splitter is positioned approximately halfway down the length of the cable. This means that when used to connect to two monitors, the split cables will allow you to spread them apart a maximum of six feet, equal to the total length of the cable. Using an in-line molded splitter ensures maximum reliability and greater durability compared to Y-cables that are split at the 1/8" connector.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this work to get a Sennheiser lav ew 122 or ME 2-II wired?

A: No, the adapter you need is the Rode VXLR+ 3.5mm TRS Female to XLR Male Adapter with Phantom Power Converter (B&H # ROVXLRP). This adapter will convert the 3.5mm plug to XLR and also allow converts phantom power (typically 48V) from a mixer or recorder to plug-in power (approximately 3 to 5V) which the lav mic needs to operate. The Kopul adapter only converts the plug to XLR but will not convert phantom power to plug-in power.

Q: 2. Does this adapter convert 48v phantom power down to 5v?

A: This allows you to connect a mic equipped with a 3.5mm TRS connector to an XLR input. The mics you would be using will need to have their own power supply, it will not allow them to be powered through Phantom Power.

Q: 3. Does this work with the DJI Wireless mic system?

A: Yes, the Kopul A-XMMF 3.5mm TRS Female to XLR Male Adapter could be used with the DJI Mic wireless system as long as the receiver's output is set to mono.

Q: 4. Will this work with the microphone cable from the Nady QHM-100 Closed-Back Stereo Headphones with Boom Mic? I'm looking at using it for the BMD ATEM Talkback Converter.

A: Unfortunately the Nady QHM-100 will not operate when connected via an adapter to an XLR input. The mic requires power only able to be provided by a 3.5mm jack. You are able to connect a standard broadcast headset that features a dynamic mic which does not require power via the XLR jack. The Audio Technica BPHS-1 is currently the best we have to offer in terms of price and correct connections (XLR for mic, and 1/4 TRS headphone).

Q: 5. What gauge?

A: 24 AWG

Q: 6. I read a review of a similar adapter from Rode that says that it doesn't work with 1/8 TS cables. So, will this Kopul adapter work with a mono lav mic with 1/8 TS cable?

A: No. Neither works. They are both for STEREO 1/8 plugs into a MONO XLR jack. Period. (They will work if you only insert the mic plug halfway into the female 1/8 jack. No one in their right mind would try to use that fragile configuration. Get an XLR mic!

Q: 7. Is the mini socket stereo? That is; will it take a stereo signal from, say, a laptop, and covert it to mono?

A: Yes, and it works great for playing stereo from my laptop speaker output into a mono microphone input on my mixer so I can EQ it, after I also add a 20 or 40 dB pad between this adapter and my mixer. I have this adapter and according to the schematic diagram on the rear of the package, at the 3.5mm mini female jack, the Tip and Ring are connected together and go to pin 2 of the XLR male. The 3.5mm jack Sleeve connects to pin 1 and 3 of the XLR male.

Q: 8. I have a Tascam DR40 and a AudioTechnica 3350 Lavallier mic. Is this going to work ?

A: This is the type of converter that is used for connecting mics with a 1/8 /3.5mm TRS plug into a device with a XLR plug. In other words, yes, it will work.

Q: 9. Will this work with Panasonic DMW-XLR1?

A: Yes if you want to connect a microphone with mini plug output.

Q: 10. Can I use this cable to plug a Deity Microphones V-Mic D3 Pro into a Focusrite Scarlett Solo interface?

A: No, the Kopul Stereo Right-Angle 1/8" Male Mini-Jack to XLR Male Cable is not compatible for use with the Deity Microphones V-Mic D3 Pro Shotgun Microphone. The V-Mic D3 Pro requires plug-in power to function, so you will need to use an XLR adapter with a phantom power converter like the Deity Microphones D-XLR 3.5mm to XLR Adapter with Phantom to Plug-In Power Conversion (B&H # DEDXLR), which is the adapter that Deity includes with their location recording bundle for connection to an XLR input, and connect to a device that will supply phantom power. The D-XLR adapter will allow you to use the original 3.5mm TRRS smart cable that comes included with the microphone to convert the plug and enable compatibility for connection to the XLR input on the Focusrite Scarlett Solo USB Audio Interface. You will need to have the phantom power (48V) switch for the XLR input on the interface turned on in order to supply power the mic. If you need a longer cable, simply attach a standard XLR to XLR cable between the XLR input on the interface and the XLR output on the Deity D-XLR adapter. For example, you can use the Kopul Premium Performance 3000 Series Neutrik XLR Male to XLR Female Microphone Cable - 10' (B&H # KOM3010) or similar cable in any length you prefer for your extension.

[Yes] Hi! I was really looking for something that could go from a rode wireless pro into a pro field recorder, and this dangles a bit much in a mixer bag. That's why I also covered my bases with the ALZO 3.5mm Female to Dual XLR Male Stereo Microphone Adapter Cord for Pro Camcorders

[9.9 x 5.35 x 1"] I bought this cable to route the dual outputs from my Rode Wireless Go II receiver to my audio recorder. For my uses, it works perfectly...I haven't had the cable for very long, so I can't speak on the durability yet...
