The black Sirui 3T-35K Table Top Tripod is a versatile camera support that can also be used as a handheld pole for video shots, selfies, or low- or high-angle shots. It can hold up to 8.8 lb, weighs just 15.2 oz, and reaches 13.4" with its two-section column fully extended. With the column removed and the head installed directly to the legs the tripod has a minimum height of just 4.5".

The ball head has an Arca-type compatible clamp and quick-release plate, and a 90° notch for shooting in portrait mode. The legs of the tripod fold down for extended reach when using it as a selfie pole, or fold up to give you a solid grip to handhold the pole when shooting stills or video. Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Where is Sirui made?

A: The country of origin for the Sirui 3T-35K Table Top Tripod is China.

Q: 2. Can the head be changed to one I use from a larger tripod?

A: Yes. I changed the head for a larger one and also fitted a macro rail.

Q: 3. Can the ARCA-SWISS plate / adapter be removed? Most of my equipment has the Manfrotto quick release PL200 Plates. Can I keep the ball and just swap the adapter out?

A: Yes, the plate adapters are held on by a universal mounting screw. You can swap them out.

Q: 4. which head will work best with a sony rx10 IV, this one or the 10s?

A: Any of the 3T35 series will do the job. the base model you are looking at has over an 8lb capacity. You will see that all Sirui table top tripods are very solid.

Q: 5. is the arca-type plate standard for area-swiss? meaning will it be easy to throw onto another full size tripod with arca-swiss head? without removing the plate?

A: Yes. The plate that comes with the tripod is standard arca-swiss. Works with my RRS .

Q: 6. Where is this tripod made (country of manufacture)?

A: This product is made in China

Q: 7. how good is this tri pod on a canon eos 6D w/ stigma 24mm lens?

A: I use it with my 6d MarkII with a Sigma 24 -105mm Art lens and also with my Sigma 150 to 600mm telephoto lens. I use to use it with my 1D Mark II.

Q: 8. How does one remove the bullhead and the column from the tripod? Allen wrench required?

A: The ballhead is attached using a 3/8" screw--you can remove the head by unscrewing it from the column. The column has a lock at the bottom of the tripod that can be loosened to remove the column.

Q: 9. It does not appear from photos that this ball head will flip 90 degrees to vertical, is that the case? Thanks.

A: This will not flip 90 degrees

Q: 10. The big knob locks both the ball and panning. So how do you actually pan on this thing?

A: These are not solutions. This is either a design flaw, a defect in my particular one, or misleading description. Load capacity is 8.8 lbs. But if you have to loosen the ball in order to pan smoothly, then the load capacity is more like a few ounces unless your camera/lens is perfectly balanced on the plate, which wouldn't be the case even with a lot of mirrorless combos.

[1.36 lb] This tripod is very well made with great design. It folded really small and I measured it only 13.6 oz with the ball head. (This is less than the weigh specified in the B&H spec.) The make is very much to the detail. It also comes with an almost luxury packaging (make me think of my iPhone.) This is my 2nd Sirui tripod. I'm really surprised how good it is . Sir will definitely be added to my preferred tripod brands. Btw, it comes with an Arca Swiss compatible ballhead which is why I decided the purchase originally. The bullhead is also well made for light duty. I bought it for my m43 olympus/sony and it is very stable and usable. Since it is so light, it is also perfect to use to against the shoulder/chest (like using a shoulder stock.) BTW, I would not compare this to any Mefoto tripod unless Mefoto can come up with a 13.6 oz tripod first. (The lightest Mefoto tripod I can find is Day Trip which is 1.8 lb. And I don't expect a 13 oz tripod can be as stable as 1.8 lb one.) And I'm much more comfortable and likely to carry a 13.6 oz one.

[Aluminum] I bought this to hold a webcam for online teaching, and I am very impressed with the quality and adjustment options. It is well made, sturdy, and easy to use in several configurations.

[1x 1/4"-20 Male] This is the tripod you actually carry with you on a trip when other tripods are too large or heavy. While it is great to take a close-up picture of small objects, I also used it for a long exposure of a stream in the forest or indoor pictures, leaning against a wall or column in buildings where tripods are not allowed. As with all Sirui products, this tripod is beautifully made and it easy to adjust. Even though high ISO's of modern sensors and VR make hand-held shots in low light possible, there are times when you want to keep ISO at a reasonable level and use a slow shutter speed while getting the best image quality. This is one of the best table top/small travel tripods I have used.

[Aluminum] The Sirui 3T-35K is extremely well made and offers a very sturdy and portable support for most cameras.  It folds and collapses to a very handy few inches in size and is capable of supporting even my Canon 80D, which weighs about two and half pounds with lens.  I should point out that is in a vertical position with the lens pointed horizontally.

Two drawbacks in this design is that the leg spread is a relatively small diameter, and if you tilt the lens to throw off the center of balance, the support is less stable.  That was easy to compensate as I added some home-made extension which I hold in place with hook & loop cloth tape.  The second concern that I see mentioned by other reviewers is that the single-knob that controls panning, also loosens the ball-head.  This shouldnt be a problem for most photographers, because this support isnt really designed for panning, but for still photography and for that it is a terrific little tripod that Im very happy to have in my kit.

Only negative was the packing.  I love B&H, but please... tell you shipping guys that putting a box into a soft envelope doesnt work!  While the 3T-35K arrived without even a scratch, the nice box was crushed... good testimony to the durability of the product, but if I had wanted to make this a present for someone, a crushed box would not have served well.

Lastly, Surui really knows how to build and present their products. Handsome looking carton, very nice zipper bag, and the fit and finish, materials, and machining are all outstanding.

Thanks to both Sirui and to B&H for their products and pricing.

[Aluminum] After spending a few minutes with this tripod to get acquainted with its features, I have to say that it is a seriously impressive device.  The design and engineering are amazing, and the build quality seems to be extremely good.  All pieces are metal, move/slide smoothly, and lock up tight.  This is the last mini tripod I will ever need.

[Ball Head] I have the Switchpod and, the Joby GorillaPod and this has become my every day table tripod. I really love how portable and light weight it is, but strong at the same time. Have handled my Sony A6400, with the rig, and Sigma 16mm lens with a light with no problem.

[1x 1/4"-20 Male] Small and light with the ability to hold a lot of weight for its' size. Must be used on flat surface. Very handy for transport. Well worth the money if it stays together. I haven't had that much use with it.
