Q: 3. After manifestation in PMK and fixation and washing for 25 minutes, the Tri-x 400 film turned out to be slightly brown. This is normal?

Q: 10. How can I test my T4 fixer to see if it is exhausted? Can I use my old test solution I used for regular fix?

A: Most cut a small piece of film and if it doesn't clear in a couple of minutes the fix is exhausted. I just throw away the working solution after going through three litres of developer (xtol) or when the solution no longer removes the magenta stain from the film. Not sure what you mean by the second question; I don't think you should mix older working solutions with fresh.

[9.76 lb] I love photographer formulary gum for my gum bichromate alternative process photography work. I have been using it for years.

One thing of note is that I do not order it in the winter... I am in CA and if it is shipped through freezing temperatures and freezes, I think that changes the chemical makeup somehow and slows down the exposures. To fix this I order enough in the summer to last the year.

[9.76 lb] I use this for tri-color gum bichromate printing. I got a kit and went through a 125 ml pretty quickly, about 3 printing sessions, so I figured this pint size would last me a lot longer.
