The black D-350HB-T 3U Compact 5 x 3.5" Bay Hotswap microATX Chassis from iStarUSA is designed with elegance and functionality that is fit for HTPC (Home Theater Personal Computer). With the advancement of server racks for home, it is suitable for both rackmount and desktop orientation. With a storage capacity of up to 8TB per each bay, the drive cage has tray supporting 3.5" and 2.5" HDD and maximizes data storage and backup functionality at the same time. A: The fan should be fairly quiet, keep in mind this is designed to be used in a AC cooled server room so its not the quietest out there.

Q: 10. If I wasn't going to be using the external drive bays, would it be possible to install fans in that area?

[4x Low-Profile] Big, solid and dependable. Bought it new in 1988, had cold light head, color head for it. Used from 1988-2001. Put it in storage until recently and still works like the day I bought it. Because of the size I gave it away to someone who is just getting into 4x5 film. Very few people are looking for the chassis now, very expensive to ship. Full frame digital has pulled me away from film otherwise I would have found a way to use the enlarger. 5

[ATX, Micro-ATX] I installed these rails on a rack mountable computer that's used as a character generator. These rails make it easy to slide the unit out and service it, without having to undo all the cables in order to remove it from the rack. They were easy to install and I had the equipment back up and running within 30 minutes! 5

[1x 80 mm] This case is deeper than other options. It has a mid-case fan array, plenty of space to accommodate hot swap drive cages without crowding the power supply or motherboard and an adjustable expansion card support system. It fits my ATX MSI motherboard perfectly. The washable front door filters work great to keep dust out. Standard 26 rail kits fit well. Very happy and plan on using this case forever. 5

[Steel] This case has lots of options inside for different builds and boards. You can turn the sides around to change the vents/glass showing. Every thing has a screen mesh behind all the vent intakes. The small screen is a option that can be bought. 5
